How many times do you drink each week?
Hi! I’m looking to apply for the entry level associate (strategy consulting) positions at ClearView Healthcare Partners and ZS Associates Associates. I currently work in clinical neuroscience research. I have 3 years of research experience during undergrad and am nearing the 1 year mark working as a full-time researcher. Would anyone be willing to give me a referral to these companies? I would love to connect and share my resume and more info! Thank you so much.

$5,600 for an ER visit where you reported with chest pains doesn’t seem that unreasonable, depending on the tests that were done. Did they do anything beyond the EKG? They probably did a blood panel, chest X-ray, did they do a CT? Echo?
Publicly funded is something that needs to be very seriously considered. The government can afford it without increasing taxes, it is possible if they allocate certain amount for the services offered(which accounts for profits and innovations). The government can standardize price, removes the lack of clarity on pricing and keeps everyone in the chain satisfied.
Ask for itemized invoice. That drops it by some pretty quickly

OP was the 5600 before your insurance company discount was applied? ER bills are going to be astronomical by default, especially in the city. But I would have expected this to be around 2-3k (total paid out of pocket in high deductible) not 6k. I basically had the same problem and went to NW (which i imagine is going to be more expensive) earlier this year. Had an Ekg, blood work, and chest x-ray and paid around 3k.
Why does it matter to you what’s billed to the insurance company? Have you seen health insurance companies quarterly profits? They vastly dwarf even the best running hospitals in the US. I think your anger is misplaced…
