Slow deep inhale through the nose, then hum. Just a low "hmmmmm" until there's no more air in your lungs. Repeat as necessary. Loosens the vocal cords, regulates breathing, the vibrating sensation helps to distract from anxious thoughts and you can do it discretely. I've done it while waiting for my turn during a presentation. Works for me.

Throat coat tea, or any hot beverage? Potentially taking an DayQuil or something in advance to dry things out could work. Or treat the nervousness itself instead of the symptoms.
Sudafed. Fishermen’s Friend cough drops. Nasal rinsing. CBD for the nerves
Micro vibrate silently until the phlegm cascades down your throat
Nasal rinse (squeeze bottle With salt solution from local local drugstore ) night before and morning of. No beer and enough sleep.
