People at my company claim to be supportive, promote great work culture but there’s actually no support at all just bunch of bs. I adopted a dog 2 months ago. She used to love going outside but recently she’s been very reluctant to go (hiding underneath the couch when I say walk or grab the leash, stopping and sitting on the walk). I’m in NYC so it’s getting colder but I bought her jackets which she seems to tolerates, bring high value treats and take her to the dog park on some walks but it doesn’t seem to be helping much. I try not to force her every time but as a result she has been having more accidents. Any advice?

Does anyone have advice for getting my dog anxiety medicine? We have tried lots of OTC stuff and many professional trainers and they all mention that we need to talk to our vet about anxiety medicine. however, our vet refuses to prescribe it without us going through a behaviorist. The problem is the only behaviorist in our area is $700/session (minimum 2 sessions) and the wait is 5 months. Should I try a new vet or has anyone had luck with a virtual diagnosis?

In a pickle here. I love dogs and SO not so much. However, we’ve been dog sitting this 8 month old pupper for one day every week since the last 2-3 weeks and it has completely converted my wife into a dog lover. I’m emotionally attached to this dog but very quickly realized this is very temporary. Plus, I don’t think either of us are ready to get a dog full time - I am assuming there will be a lot of work around it. Any suggestions on how to not get so attached with this cute lil one?
