The cutest peas in a pod!
KPMG I cleared all the rounds of my interview with KPMG and was asked to provide necessary documents and fill a CAF form a week back and had a HR discussion too. I have requested for about 3Lakhs additional fixed pay since my current CTC has increased and HR said she will get back on this. It's been a week and haven't heard back on the offer letter. How long do you think I should wait. Please wait.

In addition to what others have advised- I like to hope for the best and prepare for the worst. If you are laid off ask: how long you will be working- can you look for other roles within the company- how long is their severance- do they offer health care and if so for how long- will they pay out pto days and / or sick days. All this stuff they should proactively tell you but wanted to provide just in case. Best of luck! Also amex is a great place to work so DM me if you want a referral. I have had two babies while employed here and they are wonderful.
Agreed with this!! Be the most informed possible and take notes on what they say re length, severance, etc.
Also, just want to float this out there - did you tell them you are pregnant already? If so, there are other considerations/ next steps at play if they do lay you off.
Deep breath! I’ve been through three restructurings and didn’t get laid off. Doesn’t mean that’s what’s happening! Please try not to stress.
Try to think positive. They very well may be keeping you on, but just restructuring your position. I know it's easier said than done, but I'd say prepare for the worst, but hope for the best. It's all you can do. Worrying won't change anything. Fingers crossed for you!
Ugh, I am so sorry to hear that. I was laid off during covid and knowing its probably coming and waiting for the meeting is the worst part. I would suggest posting in the job referral bowl in case you do get laid off and need something new. I'm sure someone in there can refer you. Hang in there.
Oh man I hope things work out for you! there are quite a few places hiring at the moment so you'll be able to find something soon but fingers crossed there is a positive outcome
Have a list of questions ready incase you are laid off so you don’t have to think in shock. Either way, you got this. Hugs
It doesn't mean you are being laid off. They could be restructuring, could be giving you a promotion, etc.
The team I'm in recently had a restructure and there are weird legal steps they need to take to notify everyone of the process before they could make anyone redundant and this sounds a lot like that. Even the team that stayed thought they were losing their jobs and had a day of agony only to be told they were fine.
Another place I worked had a restructure and you all have to apply for the roles that are left. For some it was very clear there was a role for them and for some they had to fight. But again the same ominous meetings were legally required. That process took months and there were good payoffs so everyone had time to find other jobs as well. A lot of people were just moved round the business to other vacant roles.
So as impossible as it is try not to worry too much. A lot of this stuff is handled awfully for legal reasons it doesn't necessarily mean bad news for you. X
Any update, op?
This ☝🏻 I would consult an attorney to see if there is a discrimination claim.

Hope everything is ok, OP!
As others have said hope for the best but be prepared for the worst. You will be okay. Keep us updated, OP! Wishing the best for you!
I honestly hope this isn’t the case and maybe they wanted to discuss a potential promotion or something else that you will benefit from. I am wishing you the best of luck! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
