things just got strange at work and I’m not sire what to do… the Founder/Executive Director of the org I work at decided to have this summer retreat at her beach house in the Hamptons. She wants us to get to her house at 9am and specifically said we cannot leave until 5:30pm so we have time to have fun after team building activities. All of us will have 5-hour commute in total in one day won’t get home till at least 9pm. /1

I Received a first offer from Deloitte 2 weeks ago that I countered and they accepted to raise it.
The recruiter in charge of my case was on holidays and he came back to work last week.
Sent him two emails asking when I should expect the new set of documents, but no reply until today.
Is this normal? Does a new offer necessarily have to go through the same steps as the first one ? Because I waited 10 days between the verbal offer and the written one for the first time.
