My boss shamed me publicly in an email sent to the entire office. I am a marketing director and have handled multiple important campaigns, but I got sick and he called me "weak" and told my coworkers that they should avoid being like me. Huh.

Hi all. Today is one of those days where I am just really tired of proving myself. I'm a woman POC and the only brown person at my small firm. Owners are subtly racist and the men often treat me like their assistant. I also make a lot less than the male junior even though I have more YOE than him. Days like this really make me want to stop being a lawyer. I don't think I will ever find a firm where I am not treated this way.

My co-worker is so resentful and competitive because I was promoted over her last year which caused a demotion on her end. People in the company still go to her for things that should be for me but she rarely corrects them. Shes still involved in the company too in a way that allows her to know secrets that I should know about but never do. I technically am above her within the company but this is how things are. I just do my job and try to not let it bother me but it does. Any suggestions?

Got braids. You'd think I literally got a face transplant from how shook my coworkers are. I would say over 10 people have stopped me to ask about them or comment on them and I've been at work for maybe 2 1/2 hours. It's all been positive, but am I wrong for still finding it annoying? They don't lose their minds when Sarah gets bangs or whatever so I wish they could keep that same energy.

Just discovering RSD after being diagnosed as an adult. I feel like SO MUCH of my life has been impacted by this and I just never had a name for it. At work if someone gives me negative or constructive feedback it can feel like a punch in the chest even if I know it's not personal. Makes romantic relationships so hard too. What do you do to handle it especially at work?

Does anyone have sound advice for dealing with nitpicking feedback from a skip-level manager? I'm all for constructive feedback but something tells me that this individual might be out for me. How do I subtly tell someone that he knows my Dad? I am on the final round of interview with this company I really like and meeting the owner next. My Dad mentioned that they worked together and they regularly go on holidays together. LinkedIn question: I’ve never seen this before - someone shows up in the list of employees at a company. But, the button that normally says “follow” or “connect” is sunken/darkened and says I’m “following.” I (as far as I know) never followed nor requested to connect with this person and they do not appear in my list of people I follow. Is this a privacy setting or did they block me?

After an interview this morning, I sent out what was SUPPOSED to be a thank you email. I really should have stepped away from my desk and put my full attention towards it, but instead I rushed through it and am now realizing I didn't even THANK HIM FOR HIS TIME OR THE OPPORTUNITY! Ugh.

Does it come off as entitled as I think it does?

I just got increment in October of about 25% already. If say I switch in Jan-Feb, will I get 25-30% increment on my current hike?
If the new organization asks that you already received a hike, what shall I say to hr during salary negotiation round?

Thoughts on CAIA? Difficulty, hours studied, study tips, overall experiences, etc.? I’ll be sitting for Level 1 in September. Currently work in the fund of funds space - moving over to my firm’s hedge fund research team soon so CAIA seemed like a perfect way to get knowledge in the area beforehand. I’m almost one year out of undergrad (econ background) so a lot of the CAIA content is new to me
