Aren’t you worried about utilization

likefunny

First partial FY utilization usually doesn’t matter too much.

Have come back from two paternity leaves in Dec and yeah you’re not getting staffed before year end and in most cases more likely early Feb / Into March and beyond

like

I would have assumed that with paternity leave you would roll back onto the same project, but I guess not? How long was your leave?

Guess who is going to be working over the holiday if there is a project… the new guy

Why?

Very few clients kick off projects in Nov/Dec, and most are wrapping up. Everyone is hiring for their January pipeline.

Don’t forget to tell your staffing manager that you are busy considering multiple projects, and to leave u alone 😆

smartfunny

This is so true I did this twice (happened to be), once joined in nov last week and did not start project till January second week and once joined in December first week and did not get project till feb first week. And in both companies that was my only time on bench.

like

This is the second time for me as well. My first consulting gig, I was hired in late Nov and didn't get staffed until mid February

What kind of joke bosses do you all have with such bad sales pipelines? I’m personally kicking off 3 projects between now and Christmas. All my colleagues are also kicking off projects left and right and we’re pulling everyone off benches.
