No because in consulting that’s just going to result in 4 15 hour days.
Was just about to say this. That would be a nightmare
Or worse PPMDs wouldn’t care that it’s a 4 day work week and would still expect you to work a 5th, except now you’re not being paid for it

Only if the four 9-10 hr days were enforced as such. That most likely won’t happen so probs not.

I basically have a four day work week so no
If the day off is Monday. And Friday is still treated like a Friday by everyone relaxing on meetings and checking out a tad early. Wouldn’t want to cut the already lax day.

Good clarification.
Could see it maybe working as a rotation thing where people take different days off so there is still team coverage all days of the week. I know single people probably prefer Monday or Friday to make a long weekend but with kids, a Tuesday or Wednesday would actually be pretty good.
No.

I already get all sorts of urgent requests and various asks on the weekend. I can usually manage to keep Saturday for myself but there’s no way a 4-day workweek would be enforced, so it’s just a 20% pay cut. I’d rather get a 20% raise in recognition of the work I do on Sundays (and at all hours of the night during the week while we’re at it)

I work weekends bro

Nope. Everywhere I've seen that in practice has resulted in people working at least half of their day off for no pay.
One of my fellow leads was on a M-Th schedule at 80% pay a few years ago yet would still be online and email for 5-6 hours on Fridays.
Not worth it in my opinion unless there are guardrails to make it actually a 32 hour (or whatever is 80% of your full time hours) commitment.
Of course not. Working three days on the weekend plus a pay cut instead of two days on the weekend is a raw deal.
