Probably this has been asked a million times but how do you eat healthy on the road?

I stay simple and consistent unless it’s a special occasion and processed foods and carbs but load up on greens.
Breakfast - coffee and banana. Im not a big breakfast eater; if you need more throw in two eggs and something green or a tomato. Usually you can find bananas and eggs just about anywhere.
Lunch - greens and lean protein with balsamic vinaigrette. Usually can find anywhere.
Dinner - i get a normal entree but something that’s not fried, carb loaded or processed. Fish or chicken with vegetables; if I crave a potato, I go for baked and load it it up with veg but don’t go crazy on cheese or sour cream. Had steak and asparagus the other day. Have to do fast food? I get a grilled chicken sandwich but only do part of the bun. I don’t get a dessert. And I don’t drink during the week unless I’m dying for one or it’s a special occasion. I also try not to eat too late.
Snack - fruit or nuts and try to limit it to just 2 because I have the tendency to go crazy with snacking. Similar to that, I ask to remove things that I know I won’t be able to stop eating. Eg I can’t just have 2 fries, so I just don’t order fries.

like

1) Grocery shop at whole foods/organic store when I land so that handles breakfast and some lunches/snacks (eg grapes, cherries, almonds, apple cider vinegar for my water to bring onsite).
2) I make sure to always order dressing on the side for salads and request olive oil and balsamic vinegar (not vinaigrette) to mix and pour myself.
3) Grilled fish or poultry NO SAUCE for dinner with grilled vegetables, if those are avail. Lemon and olive oil on the side does it for me there too.
4) Absolutely no junk food / donuts or the likes. Dark chocolate if i crave something desert like.
5) eating healthy is part of a life philosophy related to making good choices in what you put into your body so has nothing to do with fad diets (at least for me). I admit I wanted to cry one time when the foodcourt place was using PAM to grill chicken...

like

Water (every time you think about it)
Salads (dressing on the side)
Lean protein (chicken, roast turkey, fish)
Veggies (as sides or snacks)
Full fat dairy (sparingly)
Soups (not the creamy ones)
Sweets (at my skinniest I ate two vegan dark chocolate squares everynight :)
Carbs (in moderation and you’ll be fine)

Give yourself one IDGAF lunch and one IDGAF dinner a week. They’re not cheat meals, they’re slightly more indulgent.

I learned everything I know from the French.

like

Two-a-day workout classes and only eat lunch. Coffee helps for breakfast, lunch is a big salad with avocado, nuts, olive oil- good, healthy fats. I try to eat it as late in the day as I can. Then a workout class and hot tea before bed. I keep almonds in my bag for emergencies.

1 meal and 2 workouts a day? That is not a regimen, that’s torture.

I want to buy a townhome or small house but I have no idea where to start. I’m a single, 24 yr old woman with 2 puppies so I just want a nice place to make my own. I don’t make much so I don’t know what I’ll be able to afford or what areas to look in since Atlanta seems to be so pricey, though I have no debt. Any advice?

Hi Fishes, If someone joins Samsung Research Institute, Bangalore as Chief Engineer, does he/she have to give competency test every second week (twice in a month)? Thanks in advance.

I'm a nurse manager for a large hospital with 10 YOE in nursing, but I'm starting to second guess my decision to go into leadership. Has anyone else left nurse management and pivoted to NP? I'm not crazy about the idea of going back to school for a third degree, but at the same time I'm turning 55 and I'm ready to leave the high-stress hospital setting for a nice small outpatient office. I'm considering focusing on Psychiatry. Thoughts?

Can we get a list of companies than are not FAANG/MAANG but are close to or as good in terms of comp and experience? I get that Meta beats the market in terms of comp, but honestly most people I know wouldn't work there these days. Amazon doesn't have rep problems but seems to have lost it's 2010's luster. Netflix is finally facing legit competition after years of domination. Google and Apple are great but are huge now. What's the next generation of FAANG?
