Product Manager working on HBO Max (base: 145k; total comp: 166k) got an offer for PM role at Spotify (base: 170k; total comp: 200k)

I am not thrilled about the scope (i.e. products that I would be working on) at Spotify but I am relatively new to PM (had been in marketing prior) and think Spotify would be better at teaching me the ropes than WarnerMedia.

Basically deciding between better pay/learning/comp. and working on a product I personally am more interested in.

PwC Bangalore hasn’t provided the hike o promotion letter yet. Is there a way to see the performance bonus and the hike??

Timing for recruiting for the purpose of negotiating salaries: I like my job/company, but know I can get a better salary with my skills/experience elsewhere. With promo reviews coming up, I expect to receive a promotion, but want to have another offer to inflate my salary a bit more. Anybody have insight on the timing and general do/don’t?

When an organization is not adequately staffed, be sure increase the number of meetings to address how to allocate people. Forcing negotiations at multiple org levels around the same decisions will ensure everyone is totally aligned.

This accomplishes three things:
1) Everyone is mad at each other since they’re competing for people
2) They’re confused and not able to pay attention to the root issue of chronic under staffing
3) They’re distracted from blaming mgmt for the root cause.

I have a partner who routinely ignores emails or responds to them several weeks later. He has to approve every single document sent to the client or the court, which means you have a physically go to his office to ask him to review something. Half of the time you go to meet with him in person, he’s either on a call or otherwise busy. I find that this basically creates more work and makes meeting deadlines extremely difficult. Is this normal?

I’m in interviews with a few companies. It was initially to see what was out there to negotiate my pay. Now, I’m seriously considering leaving my current company because of what one of the prospect companies represent: everything I want in a company/role.
