Its my dream to join Google and waiting for the day when my LinkedIn Profile would say 'working at Google '. Issue is there was no SAP ABAP (my tech stack) openings till recently. Now there are a couple of them I have applied to on the careers page for India location but no response yet. Would it help if any one can refer me to this position ?

^ or maybe OP can use that time to watch/read material which will aid in learning which an iPad is just fine for. So no, not dumb at all.
Tons of app. Try searching the App Store
CIO1 - I have carved out time on the weekends to learn proper on the laptop. Just looking to augment that with something I can do on the flights rather than my usual entertainment.
Thank you M1!! Didn't even think the app store would have something, this is awesome! Is there a particular app you would recommend? Or should I just go by ratings on the app store?
Pwc.is dumb lolololol trololol u dumb hehehehehe
Not dumb, but as others have said practice, practice, practice! Especially on the things you want to do and the libraries needed to make that happen.
Lol, iPad is fine if you have a Bluetooth keyboard . Practice > anything else.
Yeah. I’m going to say practicing on a keyboard is crucial. Can you even run terminal commands on an iPad? Also, get Sublimetext or Atom
Thanks for asking this question OP! Now I’ll be learning while flying 🤓
I started on Coursera with UofM’s Python for everybody. You have to be resourceful once you get beyond syntax, basic data structures, but Coursera is a good place to start. Stackoverflow, Reddit will you be your best friends once you get into more complex code and data handling.
M1 - I am starting with How to automate the boring stuff with Python.. Both the book and videos are available online for free. I have only completed a few chapters myself so far, so can't tell you if it's a good resource or not. Hopefully some of the experts can chip in with other suggestions!!

Boom, go play around. Learn to read the documentation on various modules, took me way too long to do it correctly.
This is dumb. The best way to learn is to practice and an iPad even with a keyboard is a poor substitute for a development environment. Just buy a smaller laptop if you do it often when flying with limited space. The GPD pocket 2 is very nice.
Reading and watching is great, but ime you get more out of your time when you can try things out while listening.
On a tangent... what is the best way to learn python. Any tips on website, classe, etc? Thanks in advance
Thanks OP, will check it out!
