Project is ending. Client management has contacted me to leave Deloitte and join them permanently at a 95% pay increase in a data analytics role. Are there any reasons to be hesitant to accept?

If you have an h1b then might need to think it through. If not, run over. 95% increase is a no brainer. And don't worry about any non competes. Consulting firms never enforce it - one person is not worth the risk of burning bridges with the client. Quite a few times I've seen my ex-firm's(Big 4) personnel join the client during and after an engagement with no consequences

Jus ensure they don’t have firing culture. My previous healthcare client had this issue where they hire and fire when tight on budget

Do you like the their organization and how they work? That’s always been the reason I’ve said no. You could describe most of my clients as a hot mess.

Can describe most of us as a hot mess

Beginner and trying to get my finances in order. Income: $200k+. Maxed out 401k for the year. I have $60k in my savings account (just paid student debt off this year). I’ve searched the bowl… Are next steps: (a) invest (maybe $30k?) in ETFs and add to it each month, (b) open a HYS at HMBradley to hopefully get a high interest next quarter? I’m not convinced about the mega back door Roth (whether it makes sense for my situation) so putting in only a small amount there. Any thoughts? TIA!
