If it's mandated you and your manager agree to a make up holiday
Be transparent and have a convo. Are you legit cancelling important plans? If not, the convo should be about when you all get that time back at a minimum. Losing a long holiday weekend should be worth a full week off soon after IMO.
It’s our first big SAP go live. And while I usually support the all hands on deck this leadership pushes weekend work for every stage: behind in test, behind in build, behind in load and people are burned out. Honoring 1 US holiday shouldn’t bring us to the ground for go-live

So ideally this would be good but I already have too much PTO so flexing time won’t help, and we’re in a multiple release model and they just keep pushing weekend work across multiple releases

Yeah book a longer vacation the week or so after
