Project leadership is forcing me to stay staffed on a project that I’ve expressed interest in leaving after being on it for nearly 1.5 years. I feel so trapped that I’m interviewing externally because I’m so bored and they won’t give me a chance to find something new. Project leadership has a history of not letting Cs leave. What are your client follow-up/communication policies or practices? I’m hearing more and more that clients don’t like the long periods of time with little to no contact. From my perspective, since I bill for my time, unless I have an update or need something, I don’t initiate a call.
