Jira is not that bad

like

Used to use this at MullenLowe - we paired it with ProofHQ (now WorkFront) which was amazing. Do you feel that Jira can manage workflow and be collaborative across 3-5 departments on single tasks and projects? It’s been a while since I’ve used it, but I remember not being too impressed with the collaboration aspect of it

Not Zoho. It’s integrated with office 365 and it’s the devil. The DEVIL, I say!

Don’t even get me started... you don’t know the devil. The devil is Function Point. Literally deletes tasks as I’m writing them.

Using microsoft project and excel works well at our agency.

Omg excel really?

I liked Workamajig . NOT aqua/webvantag

Agreed, Webvantage is not great

We use Workamajig at our shop and find it pretty cumbersome. Looking to potentially change if something more user friendly comes along.

Used Workamajig at my first Ad job ever... another platform that misses the mark a bit, but is fine for smaller shops.

Just started using Basecamp for project management and really liking it so far. We use Workamajig for time entry, expenses and billing.

Second this.

I have grown to love Asana. It was limited at first but they respond to feedback and keep adding features! I also like that it integrates into other programs well: Google Drive, DropBox, Slack, etx. Another that I like is Simple. It is built for agencies and marketers. They don’t have a high penetration in the U.S. yet but they want to. Worth taking a look at as well.

I second Workamajig. You can set up project templates to help streamline the time it takes for new project creation. The version we used also included time tracking that showed on a person’s task list for the day, encouraging daily time tracking.

I’ve used Workfront and Target Process. Both have their pros & cons, but I liked TP more because it really broke out all of the jobs

ActiveCollab was used at my past smaller agency, & was plenty for what we needed at a company of twelve people. At a larger shop now and we use iMeetCentral which is completely customizable by company, by client, by brand all within the same agency. External access is optional but has made some of our more complicated client relationships much smoother if you're willing to go there.

Partners: we've noticed how hard you've worked on this project where we completely abandoned you, did not supply you with adequate resources to complete your task, and rebuffed every attempt you made to ask for assistance. How bad does it look to prospective employers to change jobs every 3 years? I've done this since college (12 years ago) and have tripled my salary as a result. The pay bump won't be as big, but much better WLB, less travel, and I'll be able to do what I love. Opinions on this?
