I am an Associate in Corporate Cash Management filling in for pat leave. The person is expecting to return in Sept.
There is no guarantee that I can keep this job. So I want to explore what options I have if they don’t decide to keep me.
My current job is focused on RFP writing, product/project coordinating, improving and building models (pricing, net interest income calculator, etc.) not directly client facing.
When a client leaves a voicemail and claims to have a “quick question” I’m instantly triggered. One, it’s never just a single quick question. Two, send that shit through email.

It's been 4month with the team with no manager. I recently joined the organization and the team I am part of is headed by a lead and one analyst.
So being a new member as Sr.Data Analyst I sometimes have to report to analyst. Considering the fact that he has been part of the team for past 1 year and sometimes he sounds like lead as he is leading some project.
On other hand my manager is continuously asking me take lead in project and try to reduce dependency on that analyst.
Has anyone successful gotten a doctor's note to secure more flexibility for remote work? On a local project and SM insists that the team colocates in a cramped team room on a loud and crowded floor.
2022 and another example of not treating the Indian people fair and right. Yes there was 2 week time to fill the reviews but why have the deadline on the Biggest festival of the year. And we call ourselves problem solvers for client?? Can’t even creat our own timelines properly. Imagine having the review deadline on the day of Christmas ?

- a Team Lead / Very Sr Recruiter for a renewable energy client in Boston
Thank you, network!Brunel energy
Just scolded by my client because I wasn’t thinking “large enough” for a certain paid social campaign. They want their campaign to go viral and that they want to target “everybody”. I want to retire.
I hate my client. They are draining to work with and it’s incredibly difficult to keep morale up on the team (across departments). Leadership is aware the account is a grind but they bring in a healthy fee and are in the top 3 for revenue. No one wants to work on it so resourcing has trouble finding people to touch the business. As an account director, this is all wearing on me. I don’t think I can do it any longer. Do I quit or ask off, even though I know there are no other accounts to go to.
Client forced us to launch this god awful campaign that is as “We are hip! YOLO!” as possible. Our audience hates it and I am low key enjoying every “wtf is this?!” comment that gets posted right now.
Any one have any leads on finding freelance digital marketing, digital media planning/buying jobs? On the client side and looking to get into freelance to get away from all these meetings and spend more time with family

About to take my first international project with another firm - will be living there for over a month. Any advice / experience to be successful in an extended travel role like this ?
Good morning my fellow WIA. Im looking to work with a freelance copywriter on a project kicking off in the next week or so. Approximately a 3 week-long contract, potential for more collabs in the near term. Women of all experiences, LGBTQ+ & BIPOC are encouraged to apply. If you are interested please comment here and we can DM! Thanks
Interested in hearing other opinions. A colleague and I were comparing our GA analytics audit for a particular client. We have a template we follow that doesn't focus on identifying an audience. For this particular client, I saw seasonality based on a specific audience, so I called out the audience in my draft of the findings and recommendations doc, and reported on acquisition. My colleague said that I shouldn't have called out the audience because (continued in comments)
Part Two: Today we had a meeting set up for the project and I get on Zoom… I’m waiting…. I email…I text…
Then I get this email from the recruiter:
I spoke with Sam just a short while ago.
He cited his reason for leaving as one where there was no long term potential of becoming an FTE for Roku. This became apparent to him yesterday, I suppose, during his first day. This was never something he brought up as a concern to me when we chatted through the process and he admitted that he never mentions
I mistakenly mentioned a client name when I was talking about my product management skills. This was for a product manager role interview at Apple that focused on Customer support.
I instantly realized that I shouldn’t have done that but I didn’t say anything because the interviewer seemed to be unbothered but he wrote something down. Also he continued with the interview like nothing happened. Am I screwed???
Did anyone lateral into big law? First year in insurance litigation defense and I’m looking to see if it’s even possible to break into big law in a year or two

I'm leaving Boston area and subleasing my room in a two bedroom in Brookline. If anyone is looking for something form now til August let me know :)
I learned that partners of my v5 firm are communicating to associates that I am leaving because I wasn’t cut out for the pace of the firm. I’m leaving (which I refrained from communicating to fellow associates) due to lack of mentorship and toxic management styles (i.e. scolding, being thrown under the bus, etc). Hearing what’s being communicated is particularly distressing since I am a first generation attorney of color and had some of the highest hours on the team. Any tips to address?
The military saved me. I'm serious. I brought so many conflicts into the service, my father was an alcoholic, and I was an opioid addict. I've been clean for seven years thanks to my training. Forever thankful to the troops for that.
It took me a whole day to write a cover letter selling my skills (career changing) just to apply for a job that didn’t have an option to upload a cover letter or additional files 🥲💔 wasted my time for nothing lol. Just wanted to vent
Once when I was waiting tables, I had a guy pay me cash. The change was 45 cents, which I didn't give back to him because like who wants that. He then asked where the change was, and when I explained that I didn't give back the loose change, he made a big stink about how dollars and cents matter and didn't leave me a tip. He was a republican staffer on capitol hill.
Guys what’s going on with the IRS sending out notices of changes to people recovery rebate?? My two brothers in law both received a notice. Haven’t checked my mail if I got one or not but what the heck? Anyone dealt with this yet?
Does anyone have any insight on what is entailed during an “expertise chat” at McK in Healthcare Services & Technology? I spoke to a recruiter and made it through to the next step. The next step is the expertise chat before moving on to the official first round interview. Any insight appreciated.
What are non-biglaw options for derivatives associates? I spent a few years in Corp/M&A and recently moved to derivatives. The work/life balance is slightly better and the team is great. Big fear is losing all the in-house opportunities that come with Corp/M&A.
Anyone willing to share some best resources (books, podcasts, etc) for imposture syndrome? For awareness, I am a white women in HR. Always struggled with confidence but experienced some brutal/toxic management with my HR role with a bad business partner (now in a new role), and I am continuing to struggle with my confidence. Appreciate resources that are “self-help”. Also considering a therapist but hoping to also own the process myself for quicker “recovery”. TIA!
About me: Clinical engineering degree 4 years of bioprocess engineering working with stem cells on bleeding edge research and development. Launching products, patents, collaborations etc. $75k/ year. Health and dental. No profit sharing. No equity.
Is anyone on here in life sciences / biotechnology industry with insight on which direction to pursue within this space for a large salary. Can anyone give insight on the potentials of a career in this space financially?
Thank you for your help
Are you allowed to quit during a PIP? I'm sure that's the route my team will send me on. It takes time to find a job!!!
I recently got married. Me and my wife make good money but I have anxiety thinking about our financial future as a family. Financial planning while single was easy, now having to think of providing a great quality of life for wife and future kids, school, investing, retirement 😰.
Back to back posts, but value the opinions here.
I am being offered a Senior AE role, but the Head of B2B is also hiring a Head of Sales, North America.
I met with the person who will be leading NA sales, and do not think hes the right person for the job. Not someone I think I can learn much from.
Would you share this with the Head of B2B? Or is it not my place?

Every PM job posting I see in big tech/FAANG requires a MINIMUM of 5+ years experience, and a large portion even require 7+ years. Most of the associate/rotational PM roles require 3+ years and some require 5+. Yet it seems like every 24 year old I know that went to a target school is now a PM in big tech… am I the only one confused?
Anyone ever struggle with knowing the right course of action, but having your team constantly ignore your opinions and reccos?
It's like the opposite of The Boy Who Cried Wolf. I'm warning over and over about the wolves, but it's not until they start eating our sheep that the team even cares. (Bear with me on the analogy lol)
How do you folks handle this? I have an "I told you so" moment literally every day. Should I let go and just let the team learn the hard way?
The PM role is disappearing in many places—often being absorbed by other disciplines (I’d argue unwisely but that’s another post). How do we futureproof our careers? Which skills, job trajectory, etc?
I took a JR Pm role due to lack of agency experience but I find that the other PMs aren’t doing anything that I’m not & due to lack of leadership, resourcing & foresight I have had to step up and own rooms with no mentorship/guidance. I feel like I was duped and brought in on a jr role w/regular PM asks &no aupport. I was approached by another agency for an associate Pm position. Reaching out for any advice on questions to ask to truly assess resourcing, support and autonomy at a new place. Thx!
Looking for a full time mid-senior level Project Manager in the DC area or interested in moving there. Agency side!
I lost it yesterday. AMs were complaining the client's kept asking for more changes on a shorter timeline, talking about how the client just kept asking for stuff (CONTD)
Quick PM gripe. Does anyone else find it annoying to not get credit for anything? Used to it by now. But sometimes, damn. 🤷🏻♀️
Are agency PMs paid more than brand side PMs? I work at a small brand and we don’t project manage Verizon type high paying clients nor are we a fortune100 tech company. Wonder what is a fair pay for someone with 2-5 years experience (I saw the spreadsheet but focus is agency it’s looks like). Like 40-75k seems to be the range?
If you have your PMP, was it worth it?
My team is hiring a Senior Scrum Master and Agile Coach for a long term contract (2 years) who would oversee three dedicated scrum teams. It’s an in house role within the Fintech sector. MarTech experience strongly desired and must be able to manage up/influence across teams. Role is based in Orange County but remote to start—at least through May. Please DM if interested and can send you the JD + connect you with the hiring manager. Must have A-CSM or higher/equivalent.
Looking for advice/leads for a PM role. I’m transitioning into PM and have taken on more projects at my current job to add to my resume and skill set. Since my background is in MarComm, I’m open to marketing project management roles as well.
I’ve been applying for a while now and haven’t really gotten anywhere. How can I make my resume stand out? Is the PM field over saturated? What are some roles with similar titles and responsibilities that I should look into? Any advice is helpful. TIA
Two questions about SCRUM master training:
Is this a skill where, if listed on your resume, a certification is expected?
Which SCRUM master certification is most widely accepted/respected?
