First time needing to edgarize a document (my practice is ECVC and have a client doing a Reg CF raise). Am I right in assuming that it’s just converting a Word doc or PDF doc into an SEC-specific format? Any recs on service providers? Would love a cloud-based self-serve tool and understanding of how pricing is supposed to work.
My manager is an idiot who does zero work, and I can't remember the last time I saw her in a suit jacket or even wearing dress shoes at client meetings
Confession:My temper is getting worse recently. I couldnt help flipping fingers silently in a phone call yesterday when the potential project PM asked multiple really dumb and vague questions😔😫 HELP!
Found out today the slide master we use from the client was from the previous BCG team (we are implementation). Looked at the doc owner and the original doc owner from years back was McKinsey!
I get too distracted by reddit, youtube and google to make WFH a viable solution. I’m also struggling to focus on work when I see client tasks as inconsequential in the face of COVID. What do?
Flying from client (chargeable project) to another city for BD work. Do you charge the project as part of round trip or BD? Scenario is home-> client -> BD -> home. Thanks!
Client keeps inviting me to meetings but not the EM or anyone else on the team (who needs the information in the meeting). Should I keep forwarding invites to him/her or just let them address it?
I'm about to kick off my first video project (4 pre-roll videos) and I'm super nervous. Any advice?
My client just told me that their company will fail if our deliverables don’t get the job done 😅
Been on vacation for 3 weeks now and was just assigned to a project for when I get back. Had to log in to sign background checks but completely forgot my password since it's been so long...
I have a job, and I’m grateful that I do! But it makes me extremely unhappy. I’m talked down to constantly, our client treats us like we’re dumb and they have no trust for the creative team, and I’m constantly anxious. How do I find a new gig during these (forgive me for saying this) unprecedented times? Or what do I do/say if I want to switch accounts within my agency? I need some advice from other women who’ve been through this and succeeded at finding something that makes them happier.
My former firm lost a multimillion arb in a case I was handling prior to my departure. I recommended against trying the case, but still find myself oddly plagued with guilt for the client. Anyone experience something similar?
How can you tactfully push a client lead to encourage change from a direct report of theirs? I have a great relationship with the lead and the report, but the report is dragging on business processes
What does your firm do for evening meals if you work late? Most of our offices bring in a meal couple of nights a week but will no reimburse if in town and working late at a client.
Agencies (in-house or otherwise) who are worth making an effort for in Austin, TX, specifically for project managers and creative operations? Asking for a friend. (FOR REAL.)
Project Managers out there what are the tasks you do that you think can be automated. Gartner is predicting 80%
I feel like I’m not learning anything at my internship. It’s easy work and good pay though. Should I try to take on another project or multiple to try to gain more experience? But I was told it’ll be much harder and I would be expected to work longer hours and managers will be rough on me. Is this worth it when I go to school full-time as well while trying to balance a part time job? (The internship at D is expected to be part time but they might make me work more).
Does anyone else experience this - no matter what you do, the client isn’t happy? How do you stay motivated? I always review with my leads before presenting recommendations to the client to get sign off/feedback. I’ve been rated a top performer / received great feedback from 5 years of other clients and internal teams, so I don’t think it’s that I’m slacking
Working on a project and need your input, Fishbowl: Which agencies still require creatives to do timesheets?
Took a freelance writing gig with a big agency, went through several rounds of work. Now, getting radio silence from the producer as they are “waiting on client feedback”. (Cont’d)
For Sloan, one of my references is a former supervisor in a senior position at another organization - is that ok?
Turned in my 2 wks. EM asked me to stay for another week bc manager will be on parental leave around the same time (and sounds like EM is pressuring him as well). Should I consider at all?? Felt a bit guilty to leave the pressure on the manager…
Can someone tell me where should I put my money, Roth or traditional? Should I also contribute to hsa? How do I max out all contributions and benefits?
🐠 Visiting Miami week of TG with family. What are the best areas, Marriott hotels, things to do. Suggestions?
Thoughts on working in admissions for a top 20 MBA program? Want to eventually work 100% remote and feel like a move to admissions consulting would be super easy after 5-10 years.
How interesting it is that the language ‘English’ restricted us to think what we can possibly think/experience/learn. I feel like because this language is so limited in words to understand our culture, it restricted several generations to learn beyond what we know today about our country and culture. I feel cheated 😭😞
Got 2 CDD case interviews coming up (Big D and another T2). What should I expect outside of a typical market sizing case?
If you get fired from Deloitte (or similar), what would they say in a background check? Would they say “would not rehire” or something like that? Anyone have any issues with this?
I just had my 2nd round interview at Deloitte and got an email with a link to fill up application for employment. Is that a good sign?
Monday morning uber drivers that kindly wake you up when you somehow fall asleep in the 20 min ride to LGA >
As someone with a background in the military, is it worth it to try to go back to the government as a tax analyst or senior tax analyst for the Dept of the Treasury? I'm wondering if I'll have an edge in getting hired as I've been at the GS-13 level before I left the military and I'm hoping I can use that time in service to add to a pension time requirement in the government.
Anyone else? I have a full set up (multiple monitors, standing desk, the whole nine) in my home office, but as often as I can (like when I have a webinar or training to watch) I like to sit on the couch with just the laptop and get the full benefits of puppy snuggles 🥰🥰
Does Graduation must to apply for work visa in any country? Or someone can apply if he has completed normal Institute course that is not affiliated with any university. Pls suggest.
3.00 UG gpa (death of a parent, caretaker of the other), 3.95 master GPA both in engineering, 730 GMAT. Have killer ECs, decent WE but not gold. I'm applying to 10 of the T15 in R1, with Cornell as my safety. Should I add more schools that are lower ranked in or just see where I land after R1? Really want to have at least 1 acceptance after R1.
Which among the FAANG has the best work culture
