If it is your SO, then obviously bring! Is that even a question? My SO and I used to both work for D and we would each bring a friend so we could all enjoy free food, booze and company together
Dude just do it. I just brought a friend and so did a lot of other analysts. Unless your SO is the type to get drunk and dance on a table with his pants off, why would anyone care?
My SO, we've been together about a year
If your firm allows a plus one (and asks for that RSVP), then not sure why you're asking?
I was mostly worried that staff/partners bring their spouses as +1s, and not so much bf/gfs. Also wondering if I should treat the party more like networking than a party, and was wondering how an SO would fit into that vibe
Fair enough. For that matter I only bring my boyfriend if we are serious. I would not bring someone that I just started dating, because that's kind of inappropriate to introduce them to co-workers.
Is it your significant other or just a +1?
Thanks for the encouragement, everyone...so now the real question is, is it a faux pas to see if I can register him 3 days after the registration deadline ended??
Yes. Send an email to the EA listed on the invite
Why would it be unprofessional?
Pros: have fun and get drunk with someone you enjoy being around. Cons: none
I'm a single female and bringing one of my girlfriends as my +1 so I'll have someone to talk to as I'm hardly in the office and will know no one there.
