Are there any recruiters from IBM who have information on their apprenticeship program (Soft Eng)? I have applied and my application is under review. How much knowledge/skill set does one actually need to get into the new collar program? From what I have gathered online, it's kind of a mixed bag and can take a long time to onboard someone. I am self taught, know the basics of two languages and have some small projects to show. Just wondering if there is anyone that has been through this process.

Pro:
- more senior people
- good network
- cost
Cons:
- not seen as equal to FT or PT MBA
- different profs and classes (hence seen as less rigorous/beneficial)
- not as diverse of a future potential network
- older career people
- on campus recruiting is absent, so it’s a no-go for career change
Def the least prestigious. Idk about the actual educational material, but it is perceived as lesser. Value. Almost as if it is a consolidation prize for older folks that didn’t get a an advanced degree or want some resume branding.

Try and get it sponsored, EMBA is to progress in same field or company and it’s good to have buy-in from them. They want you to stay so get them to put their money where their mouth is. It’s not terribly useful for pivoting, doable but rare. Do a full time program if looking to pivot.
Depends on your goals:
In person full time is usually used to pivot or for for a career office partnerships to jump elsewhere. You won’t get that. If it’s to get a leg up in your current company/career, then forge ahead
if I am currently in corporate innovation, but want to eventually be chief innovation officer would it be a good choice in the future vs traditional MBA? I love my role, would just want to be at the top eventually
