Depends on what you care about more: Your Sunday or your client
Full night sleep, and able to be at the client first thing
Sunday - better chance at free upgrade, Sunday night hotel stays which include some sort of promotion incentive, no need to wake up at 3am and deal with airport craziness. Monday - you get your entire weekend.
Terrible. Give up half your weekend that way. I'd rather just give up Sunday night by going to bed early than missing half a day.
Pros: Get settled in, no rush, explore a city that isn't home if you want. Cons: lose half a day of weekend at home, lose time with friends/SO which is likely already limited
Flying out right now. Prefer Sunday nights to early Mondays..
Sunday. Extra per diem + I HATE waking up early. I also don't function well after a flight.
I have been taking the train on Sundays for the last 8 months because I am not a morning person and I don't want to feel like a zombie on Mondays. But my client just asked me recently to take the train on Monday's not on Sunday's! FML 😳
Never have even considered Sunday. Never will.
Depends if you are married or single. You might get lucky on Sunday night staying home.
^
Restful sleep and no 3am wake up. You can still head to the client at 9 and feel good about it.
Guys remember Sunday traveling is subject to client approval. So you have to factor in while deciding which day you should consider
More hotel points with the extra night. Time to sightsee/see friends. Or go eat sushi on the client buyer's yacht, like I am in Florida in a few hours and maybe sell a few million more in work.
Sunday night = extra days dinner expense = extra days worth of meal averaging
Extra hotel points!
There was a time I used to do monthly stay (basically never check out of the hotel) and travel on any day of the weekend I liked. But my client has been acting really stingy of late
It makes for a less hectic time flying out
EY2 what sorcery is that?
EY4 extra reasons for client to get pissed off :/
