PSA: make sure your auto pay setting for credit card is set to pay full amount & minimum amount. Had to pay $100 interest. Fucking Mint didn't even notify me.

Or you can figure it out on the credit card website. Not that hard. Your PSA should read 'Don't be a lazy ass like me'

like

I'm not the idiot that was charged $100 interest.

Don't blame Mint for user error.

PSA: understand credit cards. Why would you expect mint to notify you?

Lol at OP - struggle city. You get multiple emails prior to payment date and you still missed out. You're not very bright - pay your interest and stop commenting.

like

*NOT minimum amount

It was a drop down selection error, calm down With your personal attacks & that's why Mint exists, help you stay on top of this shit

If you have a consistently good payment record, they may cut you a break and reverse the interest charge, especially if you use the card regularly and you were only a day or two late. Try calling customer service and requesting that they reverse the charge.

A1 and B1 cut this guy/girl a break. We all make mistakes.

@bain1 I like to have tech work for me. It's not about being lazy, i setup auto pay & let it do its thing. Auto pay to pay & mint to check. Wasting time talking to idiots here

You idiot that's a feature the app sells itself on! How ignorant can you you be. I'm losing respect for Bain now

Yes, you're the idiot who doesn't know technology either.

OP pay the full amount right now and call the company to get the interest reversed. Most of them have great customer service for first time mistakes. My dad has missed a payment altogether and got his interest reversed.

Everyone is so eager and quick to bash others for making mistakes. As if we are all perfect robots. 🙄

Thanks for the info OP. I appreciate it!

@d1 did that, 🙏🏽

Hold on, can you explain the mint feature you think was supposed to magically know that you made a minimum payment instead of a full payment? As far as I can tell, mint will just email you and say a payment is due.

@d2 they email you when a fee is applied to any of your accounts.

@conwaytwity you get 1 reminder before and 1 after that you've paid, again, knowing that 1 has auto pay, and several accounts, it is fair that 1 would think the payment as happened as expected

Ladies—I am terrified of flying—particularly the parts where we are not over land and the parts where turbulence is really bad. I literally just sit on the plane, staring at the map on the tv screen, with anxiety. I’m supposed to be flying across the world on a 14-hour non-stop flight in 2 weeks. I grew up moving/traveling and therefore flying a ton but always hated it and was scared. I haven’t been on a plane since September of 2019 (due to covid and moving to the same city as family). Advice?
