I’m my partners only associate and I went on parental leave two weeks ago. I feel horrible for leaving him to handle our cases alone, but am trying to focus on my wife and new baby. That being said, should I still offer to handle minor matters that come in to ease the workload off my boss? He’s been super cool during my entire leave, so I don’t feel pressured to one bit.

Is it okay to take a work load even if you’re placed on admin charge codes and not allocated to projects?

I am 40 this year and just made director. Was in industry for 8 years, post MBA but never joined strategy, a mistake for the short run In hindsight. Need advice on if it’s too old to make EP at some point. I am in Canada so it’s a longer path. Am I too old? Also - how do I skip income partner, seems most companies are pushing most folks to go through IP to goto EP. Real advice and thoughts would be welcome.

Who else feels like when they go on an interview and mention that they want good WLB it’s an immediate turn-off for the interviewer? Shows how terrible work culture in the US really is.

28M, 5’11, 230lb. Is 2000 calories supposed to be enough to not be hungry but also lose weight? MFP suggested between 1800 and 2400 depending on how much exercise I get, but on a sedentary day like today, I’ve been hungry most of the day on 1800 cal.
