My manager recently skipped me for a promotion. On confronting him and his manager they told that the reason for skipping me was budget constraints and some constraints from HR for gender diversity. Venting: Just had a designer refuse to lowercase a word because they “felt strongly” that I was wrong about it. Even after I pulled examples from the client website of the correct usage, and got the 2cents of the copywriter who’s been on the account for 8 years.
