One thing moved from consulting to industry - there is no def of done in the traditional company.... one project last 5+ years n keep going.... no one seems to know the full picture, the bottom truth. I tried my very best to keep it together, but with new answers popping up everyday I m mentally exhausted n don't feel like I gain transferable skills for my next career move. Promotion runs on managers promises which may or may not be come true. Now I m thinking about jump....
Advice on your using another offer to leverage salary negotiations during promotion? Deloitte is offering me about 30-40% more. Would love to stay if I got at least 25% more at BAH.
Anyone recently internally transfer from audit to FDD? Just made Senior and haven’t gotten my raise yet so curious what transfers get, I’m sure it’ll be way less than external hires but the anticipation is killing me.
55K / 10 years experience (5 in-house / 5 agency) / F / New England One thing lead to another and I’m 3 years overdue for a pay raise and title bump. Will I ever catch up?

Currently an SC at EY with an offer at Deloitte Consulting as an SC. I have 4 years of experience and the base pay would be 30% more. If I stay I can get promoted to manager in a year if I leave that may be extended by 2 more years. Deloitte SC take around 4 years to get there vs EYs 2 and everyone I talk to says this is a promotion even if it has the same title. Is it worth it to leave?
Hi I have 2 years of work experience in accn. My current ctc is 4.6. Expecting a promotion at the end of this quarter. I have worked on a few bi analytics tools like informatica talend abinitio and qlickview. Have been working on python spark for a year. And have also worked on cloud migration. Got an offer for industry for $138K total cash comp (120K base and 15% bonus - pool has been fully funded previously). I am currently a Staff making 81K base and with upcoming promotion anticipate making approx. 97K base (and bonuses are not high at EY). Would I be crazy not to take this offer? Just don’t wait to stunt growth from a long term perspective.
Up for promotion to manager, have an offer to leave Big 4 for a 35% pay bump. Would you try to negotiate if you know others who have jumped to the same company for 15% more?

My overdue promotion (PM to Sr PM) is in progress, but processing is taking a while due to company Covid delays. Is it inappropriate to ask my manager what the salary increase will be? (It’s killing me to wait and wonder if it’s lower than I’m expecting)
I have just over 3 years of experience (2.5 as an Analyst and .5 as a software engineer) and all doing .Net coding. I live in the Denver area, and work remote. What salary is everyone getting for that kind of position? I make 97,000 with a 10% profit sharing bonus (up to 10%). I've also only been with my company under 6 months and got a raise when I got my current job. Any thoughts?
I went to my boss at work and said, "I need a raise. Three other companies are after me." He said, "Really? Which other companies are after you?" I said, "The electric, water and gas companies"
@EY, what is the cutoff joing date/month for new joiners to be eligible for that year's annual raise and perf bonus?
Managers- be honest, do you reward yes people at promotion or people who stand up for themselves/challenge your opinion.
For those, who are immigrants, what made you stay in New York? Would be especially interested to hear from those who didn’t come for economical reasons. I am told the excitement about the city wears off 😅 I am European, just came 2 years ago and am still loving it, but also start to wonder if staying in a job I don’t like it’s all worth it (I am on L1 visa, so no way to find a new job). Life in Europe isn’t too bad either.

How do you get past imposter syndrome? Someone more senior than me is encouraging me to apply to a role that I feel totally unqualified for. I hate my current job, but I’m good at it and am scared to fail the interview for this new position. I feel like if it doesn’t work out I’m letting the people who support me down :(
