Public finance lawyers, what do you do on a daily basis? Specifically, what do juniors do?

Review due diligence, draft initial sets of docs (Loan Agreements, offering docs, etc.)

As a junior you’ll likely do the initial draft of master indentures, supplemental indentures, and bond resolutions, you’ll probably coordinate closing docs and signing packages. If your closings are in person you’ll probably be there to help ensure everything is signed and keep the documents organized (can be thousands). You’ll likely be the person up late entering numbers in the documents when the underwriters send them last minute.

Hi, I'm looking into moving into Canada from US. Unfortunately I didn't get selected for my last H1-B this year and my employer will not help with move to Canada. I have a Bachelor from US in Comp Sci and ~3 years of work experience in the US.

I looked into the EE program but given I don't have a job offer from a CA company with LMIA, I'm slightly below the last CRS cut off. What are some visa programs I can look into? I'm completely new to this process so any recommendation would be helpful.

Has anyone asked for a pay raise for the increased amount of responsibilities that was not originally asked or discussed in job description. It's been over 1yr and I have few certs. I made impact on my team. They value what I bring to them, but workloads increased more than my main role. I think it's fair to ask for a better pay raise. What do you think? Or should I just moved on to another company? What example information can I talk to my manager to negotiate? I'm underpaid ~14%. Need guidance

Ive been practicing in TX for 2-3 years at a big law firm doing mostly bankruptcy work (and some trial) and looking to clerk at a bankruptcy court in SDNY/DDE/EDVA (I am well aware of how great the SDTX judges are but I am set on leaving Texas). Anyone familiar with how many apps these judges normally get or what makes candidates stand out? Are these judges generally not interested in someone who has practiced in a different market?

I’m a designer in the planning/landscape architecture dept. of a CE firm. Extremely frustrated that after 4+ years and multiple asks, I’m not getting the in-field construction experience I’ve asked for. I know that my designs could be better if I could see how things are actually built but I get slapped in the face with “I need you in the office designing/drafting” or “there’s no budget to have you go out” and then sends an intern to inspect instead. I’m 5 yrs out of college. Any advice?

How do y'all receive feedback on your assignments/get guidance? I'm a 1st year at AmLaw 100 and am feeling completely hopeless at this point. From week 1, the partners at my firm seem too busy to sit down and chat or even answer my quick questions. I'm given assignments and just expected to figure it out, which is completely fine, but at times I have no idea where to even start and /or am not provided with sufficient details to produce a decent work product
