Pulled an all-nighter Thursday in order to to file Friday @ midnight (covering for something GDM screwed up). Other seniors, how many true all-nighters do you typically pull a year? 2 max here.

Zero. I refuse to do so

Never pulled a single one in 7 years. All nighters only become necessary due to lack of planning. For example, you say you had to stay late to fix something that GADM did wrong, but I would be willing to bet that the real issue is lack of planning.

Same man. 2 average in the last 5 years. Builds character ;)

All nighter? Nope. This is not college.

like

None. Can’t. Won’t.

I always hit 1 or 2 am a couple times a year, but not past that

like

Worked 38 hrs straight once.. poor planning and filing deadline had everyone scrambling. Don’t wish that on anyone

like

PwC 1, the answer from GDM was literally, in an email, "we screwed up and lost your files," on something that our component schedule cannot allow to be done before this week in the audit. If you have a way to plan that away, by all means, share.

likefunny

I pulled an all nighter but that was only because I had been up so late by the time I would go to sleep it would almost be time to wake up anyway

like

lol, 0, worked past midnight maybe couple times, that's about it

like

Lol an all-nighter. I’ve never stayed past 11 and never will.

Forget zero. My answer is sub zero. None. Nada. Zip.

I worked till 3-4am, slept, and woke up at 8am to go back to work for a 2 weeks before tax busy season in September. It was a nightmare.

All nighter? Yeah maybe if I was an associate at a large law firm making 180k a year. Not doing that for EY 😂😂

Never. I cannot function after midnight.

20 years ago worked from 8am - 5am for a week straight to meet the 10/15 deadline because partner made a decision in final hours that affected 100 tax returns. It was right around my one year anniversary. My dedication and work ethic was appreciated and it showed in my raises bonuses and promotions for years to come.

the only 2 all nighters i’ve pulled in my 6 years at pwc were on 1st year audit clients where we didn’t have any historical baseline for managing audit progress and everything blew up at the end. one as a senior and one as a manager.

None, but stayed til 2am one night 😐

Aaaaaannnndddd I’ve done both of my midnight/1am nights for the year in the last week. This does not bode well for the rest of the year.

I'm an in-house Sr Graphic Designer. My CD has repeatedly shared plans to promote me to AD but is 'waiting on our new exec' (her boss) to come on before making org changes.
I'm already doing photo AD, campaign concepts, creative presentations to execs, & now I also manage the other designers...w/o a pay or title bump. I got a glowing yearly review. I make $82k in a popular west-coast city (my greenest report makes 70.) How do I approach this w my CD (again!?)

Need some thoughts. Received an offer from a well established company as a manager role doing HR analytics, and accepted the offer a week ago. A day ago received another offer from pwc. The salaries are the same, except I receive more vacation from the other company. Today I received an increase in the pwc offer (base rate) and I’m unsure what to do. Apart of me feels it isn’t right for me to entertain another offer when I just accepted one…What do you guys think? Thoughts on HR consulting @pwc?

Hi folks, I need some advice.. I’ve been with my company 18+ years. Over covid I moved to FL from NYC but now my office is reopened 50%. They’ve been expecting me to commute weekly at my own expense. It’s now too expensive to look at resigning a lease in nyc. Should I expect them to pay for anything over 50% since that’s the requirement of in-office time? Or should I cut my loses and move on? The only issue is much less opportunity/pay in FL but I’m going broke for this company

Hi! Wondering if it is still with the $$ to get certified in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt? I have my PMP and a MPH— but wondering if LSSBB is going to make much of a difference to hiring managers? Is this just a thing of the 90’s and early 2000’s or are companies still looking for folks with these credentials?

Hi everyone. I’m getting ready to take the FL bar in February. I’ve been licensed in TX for 7 years but have more or less been asked to take the FL bar by my firm so I can handle more client representation. It’s been a minute since I’ve taken a Bar exam. Other than taking Barbri, does anyone have any good recommendations for how to handle Bar prepping while also working? I’m planning on asking my firm to scale back so I can have time to study, but I don’t know if there’s anything beyond that.
