Put on a bit of weight during COVID and have a pretty serious interview coming up this Friday. Any suggestions on dresses? Likely a size 16 at the moment - really want to look put together but I can’t find anything!

When I am heavier, I like to wear a single breasted long blazer with a knee length skirt (I love pleated ones) that rises to my natural waist and a crisp white blouse. I also wear shapewear nude pantyhose and a lower block heel. Elie Tahari and Theory make blazers that feel amazing even when I’m large. https://outlet.theory.com/etiennette-b/K079104R_P4S.html (example)

That sounds awesome. Thank you for the explanation.

In person or virtual? Where some pants, a top and a blazer. Target is your friend. Keep it simple & project confidence. You’re there because of who you are and what you’ve done and what you plan to do. A classy understated look is always my goal. I know many people will disagree, but I focus more on my hair & ‘natural makeup’ look. I do concealer, mascara, my brows, nice natural lip (sometimes, just balm) & make sure to be moisturized. Best of luck!!! You’ll look great!!

It’s in person! Thank you!

Go to Macy’s and get a Calvin Klein dress. He has the best business dresses for plus sized women, I love all of his stuff.

Check out ELOQUII

I am a size 16w and 5'3. Calvin Klein businessy dresses tend to fit me pretty well.

I typically stick to a nice black dress and a blazer. That probably will work since the pants may not fit but the jacket most likely will

Ladies, great advice. I had my in person breakfast this morning - but all three brands - Theory for the blazer, ELOQUII and the Calvin Klein dresses worked well! I felt good, and the meeting went well. Thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Once the dust settles post COVID what do you think the hybrid model will look like for most companies with number of days in office vs remote each week?

likesmart

Hi. I have a question. In a world where COVID is under control, how would you feel if your companies went back to being fully in the office? But maybe others were adopting a hybrid model- some days remote, some days in the office. Would it make you want to work elsewhere? How important is being able to work remote (at a location of your choice, not at client /travelling) a few days a week to your job satisfaction?

To con't the conversation on engagement rings💍 - what do they symbolize to you? My BF and I got into a discussion about this last night. He views them as an investment and an "asset" on the books for his future family. He also has grandparents who had to finance their trip to America by selling their jewels. I see the ring as more of a gift to the future bride that is an expense that can be sold for money if needed, but isn't an investment. I'm fine w/ lab grown, he is not. Thoughts?
