If they haven’t reached out yet, u stay home
Have you contacted them? When did this happen? I’m assuming you’re an associate?
Don’t book travel until instructed to do so.
Don't bother with your demand manager. He or she isn't checking email.
Connect with the M/D on the project right now.
Don't make it about the late notice. That doesn't get you anywhere right now. #G
Travel to Atlanta and meet me by baggage claim #4. I, your Engagement Leader will be waiting for you with a sign that says XX (one x in black other in blue). Note: this is a top secret project and we aren’t supposed to talk about it with anyone including people on the actual project team.
Reach out to whoever booked you
Reach out to your demand manager to see what’s up. But definitely just don’t show up at ATL airport having booked a last minute, expensive ticket without a project team lead telling you to. Also, are you sure it’s even in Atlanta? The client could be based there but may have local operations in your city which could be why they booked you specifically.
It could be a ghost book and the project isn't sold yet? Or I'd reach out to your demand Rep too
Just to add, had you not happened to look, you wouldn’t know this booking occurred, and since the project team has not reached out, there’s no reason for concern.
What you have to do - First, calm down. All is good, this is how consulting works sometimes. Reach out to your Demand Manager as well as to the Project Lead, there should be something in the booking description on TalentLink on who the responsible Manager/Director/Partner is. Don’t book any travel unless you’re specifically being told to do so - as mentioned before, maybe that’s just a blocker for now to keep you available for this project or they need you as a remote resource. No worries, I’m sure it’ll get resolved soon.
There was nothing there as at Friday morning. I can see people on the team and do not know any of them. I have no clue who to reach out to at the moment. I was bored just now and viewed my talent link and I see that I'm booked till Christmas. No email or message from anyone.
You also could be a remote resource too, and they planned on reaching out on Monday?
How did you figure it out? Did you just happen to check TalentLink on Sunday morning?
Reach out to the team. I've got the same name as three other people at the firm and all my deployment emails keep getting sent to the wrong person.
Thanks for all the advise. I was booking my xmas firm holiday and behold a fully booked schedule. I managed to google all the folks on the Talentlink and they are all based in the ATL office. My name is very cultural and I am probably the only one who has the name, so I am sure it's not a mistake. I will be reaching out to the Director tomorrow morning, hopefully I am not getting anyone in trouble by doing so.
Very true PWC 3, I just struggle to understand why folks find it hard to communicate. All I always get is apologies. We can always email, google hangout or whatever. I am not a fan of the last minute notification and then you expect me to deliver.
Contact your demand manager today. It’s likely a miscommunication— both demand and the project should have reached out by now.
Yup agreed OP communication is not demand or PwC consultants' strong point. Ironic since that is literally what we get paid for ...
