PwC M2 non MBA Tier 1 city, reasonable to ask for base of 180k?

I was a M3 at KPMG. They were offering D with 2 mil sales but I was not sure where if I could make it since PwC is a beginner in the practice. So I took exit M with a D sales/MR target and made it in 1 year and getting the promo this year. I had got 25% comp bump and 10K sign on bonus.

You can ask, but doubt they will go beyond 165 unless your skills are unique

like

OP - what is this M2 and how do you know ? if it’s for PwC, You would not know at this point ... you may start as M1 even if they pay 180 ... I just got promo to D in PwC and had joined from KPmG last year.

SM1 - Typical Director consulting/advisory/Assurance are around 180k - 300k but some exceptional cases salary also starts from 150/160K .... assurance (external audit) and tax folks get less pay. Partner buy in are very case to case and practice dependent

Advisory, Cloud

Hard cap i believe is 172k at pwc for a manager T1 city.

M2 as in someone who is a second year manager

k1, u joined pwc as M and promo to D in 1 year? how did you do it?

How many years of exp do you have?

This doesn’t seem reasonable, $160

what’s the usual sign in bonus?

OP - what’s your current base and exact city ?

nyc, 159k. already asked my friend who moved from acn to pwc, the benefits have to be considered (downgrade from what accenture provides - employer vis a vis employee cost)

OP - Ask what you think you expect to make the move. Cloud Advisory is a well established practice though so your background might not be considered unique or special. Anecdotally, I have heard that Accenture pays better than the Big 4. Also keep in mind, PwC is going through a lot of transition.

OP - how much of total exp you have ? & Would you have a sales target ? Guess 159 base is a decent salary. I think you should ask for 190 base but they may not give more than 170 if it’s Manager level - unless a situation like mine where they were really making me as Director level with good sales target... but your case might be one off as well.

@K1, what does the director comp package look like? Talking to them about a role now. Any idea what path to partner is and buy-in amount?

M2 at ACN could be 6-7 yrs experience in consulting. Take that into account in case the levels don’t match

K1, 8 relevant yrs of experience. had 4 yrs in a different field. i don’t have a sales target. in PwC, is the sales target includes the project you are leading or it’s the deals you sold solely?

^ just what you sold or helped with the sale. Everyone who participates in the process is supposed to get credit but people like to limit the credit sometimes to manage expectations

OP - in B4s - Sales credit/target is always new business + extension of Contacts/SoW for existing/running projects - closed solely OR sold in collaboratively as co-opportunity manager. The value of the project you lead as EM gets accounted towards Managed Revenue. Managers to get promoted to D and direct hire SMs/Directors have to make approx 2-3 Mil in sales and approx 2-3 Mil in Managed Revenue with few exceptions like hiring of SMEs... But these exceptions never become Partner and retire at MD....
