Today’s mishap of the day. Was playing coco melon on my phone for the toddler and she somehow managed to stream it to the office tv where my husband was in a meeting. Whoops 😅. At least it was work appropriate?
What are your thoughts on the Vacheron Constantin Fiftysix Self Winding? I am thinking about getting it to reward myself for a milestone.
The main partner I work for is constantly trying to set “legal traps” to see if I fall into them. For example, he ask me a specific legal question (to which he already knows the answer) to see if I am able to deliver. I’m so nervous now (this has been going on for over a year) that I often end up falling into his trap by doing (stupid) mistakes. What do you advise me to do? My self confidence is slowly getting destroyed. This does not happen with other partners.
I just noticed that an old ECD stole my resume bio (word for word) to put on their LinkedIn.
Planning to get husband his first tag. Any views on formula 1 black dial? Is it too basic? Would love to hear thoughts on if it would make for a good gift.

They have a couple of years left before they turn 18 and would like to help them put their inherited money to good use example: low risk investments, steady cash flow investment/rental property, etc. Anything that may also be used for their education in the future. And possibly tax strategies to decrease tax liability from when they start getting income?

Hi, I’m currently working in Infosys (4 YOE). Now I have two offers one from Eurofins(14LPA) and one from EY(16LPA). I wanted to get placed in Product Based. I gave interview in EY thinking its product based but just came to know its service based. Please advise whether I should go for Eurofins as its a product based or EY as its a better offer. Very much confused. Kindly please help which would be the wise choice. Thanks in advance!

What does a Senior Manager need to do to make a Partner case at Big4? How long do they need to do it? I heard a 3-5 M book of business over 3-5 years is the rule of thumb.
How much would you weigh location as a success factor of being a Partner (like living close to a major city)? On the surface, I'd think proximity to a major hub means more access to chances of making business connections on a day to day basis, leading to more opportunities and potential new business. Would you say this is high, moderate or low importance?
I’m a manager and we’re taking on a transgender woman as a new employee. I’ve never met a transgender person before I met her. Does anyone have any advice about how to not be a d-bag unknowingly?

Partners - could you provide some insight how much big 4 partners make? Whether you're in big 4 or not - pretty sure you'd have an idea. Maybe give some kind of a range of what new partners earn ? Just want to know if it's worth it getting to the top.
Also would love to hear your opinion if years of slogging it upward is actually worth it. Do you feel partnership is everything you thought it would be ? (Prestige, money, status, etc)?
Thanks in advance !
Job sharing in professional services is becoming more common. Would it make sense to offer job sharing at the partner level? Benefits a) employee retention (including women 30+ that often choose family over Partner track), b) more available Partner spots which increases retention, c) work life balance, d) 2 vs 1 partner tapping into their network to sell, e) 50% comp but ideally 6 months off. Why wouldn’t it work? Trying to hear different perspectives for and against partner job sharing?
Partners, how have you dealt with burn outs? I am going thru a rough phase and am very close to calling it quits and taking a year break. Did any of you go through something similar in your careers?
