Currently SC at 90K with shitty yearly increases, if I were to jump companies, would it still be possible to out-scale gettin an MBA, take in consideration opportunity cost of 200K + 2 years no salary
On 👻 high alert: over last few months I’ve had 5 phone interviews, was flown in for all-day session of 5 in-person interviews followed by giving a full “case study” preso...crickets for 1.5 wks since
Was laid off by D 2 years ago. Was reached for a position by a recruiter and have final rounds soon. Is this a joke, would they really hire me again? Note I was in Advisory new job is for Consulting.
End goal: strategy at a large industry player (auto, apparel, etc) Is it more logical to use the mba to jump right into those companies or use the mba to get into Mbb/tier 2 and then jump?
Word to the wise. Always keep a mini sewing kit or change of clothes nearby for those days you split your pants down the middle at the client site.
How do you respond to pushy HR people/ recruiters who ask your salary req in the first 5 mins?
I haven’t seen this out there, but it came up in my college class; don’t record your Zoom sessions if there’s any interaction with students. It violates FERPA.
Under-utilised since joining boutique three months ago. Not developing at all and periods of no work for me are common (even when I chase up). Other grad hires are in the same position. Time to worry?
Contacted by a recruiter from PwC, I have 4 yrs of experience in management consulting with a health background. Been doing mostly healthcare operations & strategy work—what area would I align @ PwC?
Advisory intern in the analytics practice...I want to be a data scientist. Which firm has the best data science / advanced analytics practice?
Looking to switch to a smaller firm. But the new employer wants me to sign a non-compete agreement, along with NDA and non-solicitation. I'm on H1b so that would severely restrict mobility. Can I
I really need advice please. I’m a newly promoted S1 in Tax & I’m extremely conflicted. I really wouldn’t mind staying till manager. While I work extremely long hours, I find the work interesting & I enjoy working with my team. I don’t plan on having kids for a while so I really just want to do the best to put myself in a position where I will be the most successful in the long term. People who left at manager, do you think it helped or hindered you by staying that long?
So I am looking at data from Levels.fyi and the comp for Lyft devs is MASSIVE but I haven't seen any of it!
Wish I were a baby right now. I'm tired and hungry and it would be so nice to take a nap and then cry until someone feeds me.
Folks hoping to get some input from your experiences and the immigration professionals in this bowl. My sister is working out of Chicago and GC recruitment campaign failed. Similar campaign passed in Denver office and she was included in that campaign and notified that she will have to move offices to Denver. At what point does she have to move? I140 stage or as soon as PERM is approved? Does she have to be there now? Appreciate your thoughts on this matter.
Who will decide hike for an individual and what all the parameters they consider ? I did so well this FY with quite a lot client appreciations but still got VC RATING. Not so happy in terms of transparency.
Very annoying with SMs can't see the bigger picture and get caught up in minor details of things that don't matter to the goals and objectives of a project.
