No no no. Someone gave me a really good snapshot for part 1 of a project. At that time they still needed me. For part 2 there were some mishaps on the project itself and they gave me a bad one. I did not acknowledge the 2nd one. I am going to tell this person that it is impossible that I would have changed that much. I want to be like '"look at your own snapshot from part 1" -- but I don't want this person to be able to edit that one as I confront their inconsistencies.

What happens if you don't acknowledge a snapshot? do your mentors see that you have one unacknowledged? Does everything have to be acknowledged before CRT?

I think you have to go through HR to edit it...if it's possible.

Apparently one of your reported metrics is how long it takes from when you submit a snapshot to when it's acknowledged.

Oh shit. So long wait time for acknowledgement reflects poorly on the person acknowledging I guess?

Yes everything has to be acknowledged, and yes it is tracked. Our HR manager sends out updates every 2 weeks to who is behind on the 80% and number completed.

Well I cannot not acknowledge it. I am going for a promotion and I feel like this person is sabotating my case.

Bad as in the comments or the numbers or both?

Just one snapshot won't sink you if you have 11 others to back up your case. Talk to your coach and RP about it. Basically tell them how you are on the 5 areas and then explain this situation and how this doesn't leave you dead in the water.

Obviously S& is new to the firm but I also have a bad one - bad write up but numbers are all 3s except for one 2....not stressing about it because I have almost 2 dozen other ones that were fine. Shouldn't impact you - if anything reads as an outlier / personal issue. At strategy& we're big into how are you improving not "ooooo you had one bad snapshot." It's about the whole person and if it's not I'll gladly leave that firm cause I wouldn't want any part of it. God speed. Hope bonuses are good

@Strategy&2 I'm a little worried Bc due to the way I initially sent out snapshots, I will have three 2s from the same project. I wish I'd just sent one snapshot instead of multiple but I didn't know how to "game" the tool at that point. But anyway, I'm now worried it looks less like an outlier than poor performance (although the rest of my snapshots are mostly 3-4s and some 5s)

What do you need in your snapshots to ensure a promotion?
