So I was hired exactly 2 months prior to this covid epidemic and as a result it has made learning how to be a lawyer quite a rollercoaster. I’m trying to learn how things are supposed to be but in all actuality, I’m having to be flexible and figure out how things are working at the moment...which is fine, but it’s hard to predict much of anything when you have nothing to compare it to. Being a law student and interning is nothing compared to practicing. Any advice!?
Really afraid that MBAs will go back to remote and that I will waste the opportunity to get the time of my life
Anyone else notice the price hike for hotels in Chicago next week? Wtf is goin on? Hilton rooms @$2050 a night...
Any male Asians , feel that they have been passed up for a role because they are Asian ? Feels like the Asian man dating effect spills over into corporate culture . Or am I alone n over thinking it?
Hey friends, so 2 companies I know nothing about but would like to learn more. Amazon advertising, and Mustache in nyc Company culture, work/life balance, types of jobs you get to work on, whatever you know I’m all ears! Thanks!
Am I underpaid? Analytics Sr. Consultant (semi-technical role) w/ 8 YOE, age 31 - Austin, Tx. With Finance BA and Econ MA from mediocre University. Salary-$90k, no bonus/stock/etc.
M7 folks: planned to do a stint in FAANG before MBA, have offer for data analyst role (not PM or CorpDev). Is it true AdCom taps folks (alumni) in FAANG to see how impressive roles are off-paper? Planned to spin the experience as strategic in my app, but was told HSW will know what the more impressive rolls are regardless of resume bullets....is this real life😂
Anyone know the Deloitte Hilton code?
Hi everyone. This is probably not the best place to post this but searching for options everywhere right now. My mom is in an abusive living situation with the father of my siblings and I’m trying to find a place for her live. I live in DC and she has a stable job in Atl so living with me is not an option. She is unable to get an apartment due to poor credit and rental history. I’m willing to handle her rent, etc. If anyone is renting out a space or aware of someone who is please lmk.
I'm supposed to be working right now, but ended up looking and applying for jobs instead. Who says procrastination can't be productive?
New to bonvoy redemption. How do I know I’m getting a good deal? Looking at properties in New Orleans for a short spring getaway (2-3 nights).
Is it normal for an interview process (in industry) to go on for 2+ months. Have interviewed with three C-Suite execs, 2 Director levels, and recruiter still says there are more people to meet....
Interview Question: Understanding how many layers we usually have for interviews, how do you flex yourself when you are pitching the professionals to get the position? Do you usually repeat the same history told on the previously round or try to present “new assets”?
Anyone have experience hiring an APM? I'm considering this for a junior role but not sure what the typical expectations are in terms of experience. Is this an entry level title out of college or someone with career experience?
If you're billing the same rate, you should get the same salary bands regardless of geography.
Currently pregnant with baby 2 and a start-up which I was really keen on about 9 months ago came back around to offer me a position. I am about 4.5 months away from leave with my current firm. Am terribly nervous about accepting an getting more even half of the leave I could have gotten before. To top it all off they are offering 50% salary until they raise their target (about 30% to their goal right now). This position is in my dream field and a great fit for me, but the timing couldn’t be wors
Got an offer for an industry tax job. $15k bump in salary. But, because of timing differences, I’m going to lose out on the bonus from my current firm (I’m guessing 4-7k), but won’t be eligible for another year at the new place. Tips/advice to get a signing bonus or something to make up for that?
I feel like this is a big fat no: I left Deloitte in 2019. In 2019 I traveled to two states for work...is there a way to get Deloitte to reimburse me for the $110 I’m about to pay to TurboTax?
Which of the Big 4/Consulting firms is swift with the Green card process? Tired of the indifferent and lethargic attitude at mine and looking to switch now
What is it like in industry if your role is SEC and SOX? Is that a good path or is it a dead end with Big 4 like hours?
