@PwC- question on intangibles: what's the expense policy like? Need to use corporate card for travel (air/hotels)? Can you use personal card? How easy is it to file expenses?

No personal cards for expenses unless the vendor doesn’t accept AMEX, otherwise it’s a huge audit flag. Business class is on international only, though managers and up flying 75,000+ miles can book first domestically/to the Caribbean & Canada on flights over 3 hours.

^^ aah .. just saw that. Sorry

like

^generally, no.

OP works at EY and is asking about PwC. Not sure how he’d look it up internally?!

like

Yep. Got an offer from PwC, trying to ask about the intangibles

like

You are over engineering. Its seems your offer was not that great and if you have to evaluate it based on expense policy. Why would someone send you expense policy when you haven’t join the firm yet. Doesn’t sound right. If you need any just ask the HR person to send one.

like

Yupp. Its not right. Plus PwC phone is owned by company

It is for managers and directors who fly 75K or more per year, with permission of the engagement partner, on a flight over 3 hours in length. Canada, Central America, and Caribbean are considered “domestic” for purposes of this (for instance, flying time to Toronto for me is under an hour and booking domestic first is a waste of money) The difference matters because to South America and any ocean crossings, any staff level can book business class

like

Expenses are generally reasonable vs other places I’ve worked but no lunch. Must use corporate AMEX, can sign the card up for Membership Rewards. Quite easy to file as AMEX expenses feed to the time & expense tool - I haven’t had to send/scan in a paper receipt in several years.

No per diems or limits for meals. You get 2 expenses meals per day. They pay the AmEx bill so no personal usage is allowed. Otherwise it is a great expense policy. Eligible to book business class on 3hr + flights. The one thing I miss about that place....

Darn, way to use personal card? Even for hotels?

For biz class 3hr+ flights, does one need to be a certain "status"? EY has an internal EY Frequent Traveler program, where if you fly 80k miles a year, you can book biz class on flights 3hr+

Does hotel folio need to be scanned and submitted?

Lunch is coming . . .

Its kind of strange ..instead of checking policy internally, op is out here asking.

Seems the expense policy atPwC is a lot easier than EY. I will miss the option to book business for domestic flights longer than 3 hrs tho ;(

If I post a burner, will someone be kind enough to email me the PwC expense policy? EY's policy is like 5 separate PDFs and I can reciprocate, I'm assuming PwC's can be easily exported. burneremail759@gmail.com

Internal policies are not meant for sending to the outside and sending them outside the network can be tracked, potentially endangering the sender. Just ask here or call the HR rep. The PwC policies are generally fine and probably not much different overall from EY.

@PwC1 - not if you take pictures of your computer screen. only files through the network can be tracked

Of course. Doesn’t make it right though.
