Yeah there's specific rules around transport but just get manager and director sign off on whatever arrangement. Have teammates pay for your meals

Depends on what you can get approved. I once stayed at a hotel less than 25 miles from my house during the week and was allowed to expense everything because the Director wanted me and knew I hated local projects.

Honestly depends on client and budget. If we went line item detail to client and they drive far too ... then no. Bigger project with more money and long hours usually a better chance for that.

Technically the policy says you can charge the difference in mileage between your commute from home to office and home to client. For example, if your commute from home to the office is 5 miles and the commute from home to the client is 15 miles, you can charge the client for 10 miles. Meals are a bit harder, but you can try to get teammates to pay for them every now and then as SA1 mentioned.

Moms of Deloitte (Consulting, Canada), is it truly possible to do justice to looking after kids’ needs at ages 8 and 11.. and into their teens, as SM? I am 9 months into consulting with 15yoe in industry, and am told it’s possible if I draw and enforce boundaries - but I’m an EH so I can’t tell if it’s all a facade, or if it’s achievable.
