PwC Tax Manager salary London, UK -

Relocated to London and have been offered 70k GBP for a Tax Manager role, which is significantly lower than what i was making in the exact same role before...

I got a feedback from the hiring manager and HR that 70k is at the top of the range and they cant go higer than the bandings for this role.

Is there any room for negotiation at all??

Everything used to pay $350k on target earnings. Tech is booming but I am noticing pay has dropped substantially despite inflation. I am seeing $300k ote and most roles are set up to not hit plan. Does anyone have insight here? It sends a clear message. Just thinking experienced sellers are going to leave or pivot because they follow the money and they are going to get less experienced sellers.

I’ve worked in clinical research in the academic/non profit world for the past five years. I want to transition to a role in pharma or a CRO, but haven’t been successful yet because I don’t have industry experience. 2017 grad so technically a 4th year. Lateraled to a CRE boutique in NYC that’s a major player. Learned quickly that my experience/knowledge/organization is not up to par (was a COG in the machine at prior firm). Just had EOY review and, though positive sounding, they’re dropping me to a 3rd year to ensure I’m not billing as a 4th year and able to do the work to learn/get up to par. Question on salary for an APM in an IT consulting company. I am 26 and have two years experience in software engineering and almost two in project management.
I live in the NYC metro area and we all know how cost of living is right now.
