I have about 3.5 years of software implementation consulting experience, I’m getting tired of the 9 - whenever the work is done hours and the constant pressure of utilization. I have no idea where to start, has anyone exited from implementation consulting? Any suggestions?

On the 2nd week of joining i got allocated to a project(100% utilization) its been 3 months, the project did not kickstart.. had few meetings but no work at all. I have been doing couple of certificates though. Can i be in trouble for this? Will job security be affected?

When will YTD utilization metrics be available on DNET for 2018? Right now it says there is no data available.

How does your firm define chargeability? Do you define 100% as break even, or something else? I’ve seen different variations of this. (I’m at a small firm and we only measure utilization)

I’m currently on a Secondment at a PE firm (100% utilized, 6-9months) and my partner still asks me to help out with BD/sales at EY. I’ve said no several times and now she’s becoming demanding. How should I navigate through this? Still wanna maintain a good relationship with the partner and EY, but been so close of just hanging up the call several times.

In light of all discussions on FB, it seems to me that individuals at our firm have been removed out of EY beyond PIP related issues.

My experience seems that the ones let go, had weak network.

My project goes live Nov 9th but I have accepted a new job. When do I put my two weeks in? I have been with this client for > 1.5 years. I’m African. My white American therapist told me I haven’t found a great partner yet because I keep dating African men but that the culture is plagued with so much toxicity that doesn’t align with my personal values (her assumption, I hadn’t said anything about the culture of 54 countries). She told me to consider myself as not just African (I’m mixed) and be open to people outside my culture.
