I’m likely to get a lot of eye rolls from this, but for those of you who’ve made it there...how many years did you work in this industry before you hit the $200k base salary mark?

Just received/accepted an offer of a lifetime..total shot in the dark kind of application submission. Doubled my total compensation, even after just receiving a 10% base raise and eligible for 15% bonus

I'm Prashant (Be mech 2013), had 2 years of gap in 2015-16 due to some family issues, now I'm working in Kansai nerolac paints ltd as a production officer from last 4.5 years. My monthly salary is 28.7K. Actually this post is for BE/Btech in paint technology.I am facing difficulty getting job and promotions becouse I'm not from paint background.I'm depressed and feeling financing weak.I don't know what to do now.I can't leave this job, So please help me, what should I do now.

Hello All, my joining date needs to be extended by 5 days in JPMC and HR said in call that no revised offer letter based on new joining date will be issued and new joining date confirmation will be somewhat communicated prior to 3 days of onboarding.
However he mentioned he will reply back with a confirmation email on top of the email which I have sent requesting for revised joining date.
Do you see any risk of offer cancellation/revocation here?

I am starting a new job as ux designer for a startup next week. And they have already scheduled user interviews for me on the second day! Isnt that too soon?? How/when will I prepare.

My former boss is highly respected by everyone working in the finance profession. I am very lucky to have him as my mentor and a very good friend. I recently hired an employee of his company (w/o telling him during the interviewing process). He found out from the employee and he felt betrayed by me. He said I shouldn’t have interviewed this person because this guy plays a key role in his company given our special relationship. What would you do in my situation?
