I usually shoot for 2 cents per point at minimum, otherwise I usually buy in cash.

International flights - use points to get business tickets, local flights mostly pay 💰

like

My wife and I are expecting our 2nd child later this winter. My in-laws are coming to visit for a month to help out. Current round trip air fare for them is about $900. If I use miles, I can get saver economy, so total of 50k miles.

Needs to be close to 2 cents/point. I'd pull the trigger on it.

I always save em for intl biz class

Most flights I've booked the value per point on international business has been roughly $0.07 per mile (e.g., $5k business class ticket / 70k business saver ticket). I wouldn't pay $0.02 per point to fly in economy. At that point you might as well buy the ticket.

Just used a meaningful amount of AMEX points for the first time to buy flights to Greece for my wife and I. Emirates business class both ways for 2 people, 290k pts total or 145k each way for 2 tickets. Plus another 30k to get us round trip domestic connecting flights bringing the total to 320 points. This is on the 777 which isn’t the best business class product out there, but I’ve never flown international outside of coach and think it will still be worthwhile. Think this is an OK redemption?

Any market considerations before refinancing my student loan with current rates? They’re giving me a .75-1% drop.

It’s worth it to refinance at this rate to save paying $1000 of interest albeit credit gets hurt. My only concern is missing out on inevitable lower rates forthcoming.

Things changed after I watched Akshay’s mom (Indian Matchmaking) tell him even 25 is too late and not marrying somehow messes up lives of people around him. While the show was staged, there might be truth to the latter part.

Hello all
I am a biology graduate. I worked in cancer research and development for more than two years. Recently moved to Canada, and now I'm wanting to transition into clinical research.
Most jobs I find online ask for atleast 2 years clinical experience.
Does anyone have any tips on how to procure this experience? Should I invest in a course? Or should I volunteer at a CRO?
I recently got offered a clinical admin position, would this count as clinical exp?
Thanks
