Q for moms..I’m about to be a FTM & wondering whether to put baby on my EY insurance or on my husband’s..I am on the most expensive plan with lowest deductible bc of all pregnancy medical costs..cont.

My husband is on his company’s lowest cost insurance. Is it worth it to put baby on mine (the more expensive option)? Or is most 1st year baby stuff covered as preventative for a healthy baby? We would be paying $300/month for just me and baby’s medical if we choose mine which seems like a lot. That doesn’t include husband’s medical, both our dental and eye insurance for me. Yikes. TIA!

I’d go with yours.... babies get sick, it happens, one ER visit (which is likely) within the first year will definitely set you back.

My babe and I are on my husband’s insurance, the best coverage/lowest deductible. Expensive, but the good thing is kid #2 doesn’t raise the cost at all (at least on his plan.) I also have high deductible coverage through my employer and max out my contribution to an HSA. That way we have no out of pocket costs that’s aren’t covered by the pre-tax contributions to the HSA, and anything we don’t spend is invested for long term growth. Seems to be a good approach for us. Once I’m done having kids I’ll get off my husband’s insurance and stay on my high deductible plan

My son was in ER first year of life! Super common. He got RSV and spent night in hospital

Hope to learn more if you bought an apt in Manhattan, or if you decided against it (renting/moving to upstate/Long Island/Jersey). My husband and I are considering to have a baby soon and are thinking of buying and living in Manhattan for the next 10 years or so (looking at property under $2M). Please share what you considered as you were making the decision - I hate throwing away rent but also don’t want to trap ourselves in significant financial obligations. Thanks!

Hello Fishes, its really strange to ask but I have no option left.
I have almost 2 years of gap in my career due to medical issues, but not its recovered and I am trying to rejoin again. I applied to so many places but has been seeing only rejections either due to gap and either due to my over qualification.
I am truly tired of applying and waiting for their call back and reverts, Its like getting into depression slowly slowly.
Is their any place where I can get hired soon. Please help me.

HELP my friends! I’ve been invited to a recruiter screen for the initial interview with HR for Global Safety Associate. This job mainly deals with Adverse event/high prescribing meds product complaints. In my current role I deal with on boarding pt & getting patients work done from A-Z till they get on their meds. The only part which is similar is that I’m the main point of contacts for pt so I can report their complaint to Health Canada. How can I convince them I can handle this new job

Will it be too high salary to ask for a Manager(M2)-Data Analytics position in Deloitte Consulting UK?
If no, then will it be good enough for 3 people to lead a decent life in London (Like Hounslow or Milton Keyes) including a 2 year old kid. Traveling to London on daily basis.
If yes, then kindly suggest a reasonable salary range for this role.

Hi all! I’m an engineer working in the global health space and I’m finding it’s a small, small pool. I also just found out that a new hire (male, also an engineer) is the reason I got a raise after ~5 years of stagnancy. I love my job, but it’s time to move on. Anyone who’s worked in nonprofit spaces - did you stay? Did you switch to consulting/government/etc or go corporate? I’ve been applying without much response, and I’m debating whether a PMP very or masters is going to be necessary.

* Large cap mutual funds - 6 (total 40K sip per month) current portfolio of 4L

Can someone advice if this is a good investment plan for future? What can I do better? Do I need another Insurance? Where else to invest?

I’m burnt out from trying to drive creative solutions for my team and clients. All everyone seems to wants is simple block & tackle tactics that don’t have deeper strategic meat to them. The briefs I read are constantly off strategy and there’s honestly seems to be a lack of common sense (e.g., don’t kick off a tactic the client doesn’t know about).

It sucks even more because pharma is already highly regulated and restrictive with how creative you can be. I just feel so spent and uninspired.

I recently left a company because I didn’t see eye to eye with management about recruitment. The company I worked for regularly touts its commitment to D&I but in the recruitment process my candidates were routinely exited for having natural hair, being too old, too “urban”, etc. I’m not looking to bitterly blow up their spot but I feel like someone needs to be aware of this. This was done at the higher levels of local leadership and I have no connection with anyone in corporate. What to do?
