I have a total of 3.3 years of experience with cloud services Infrastructure and development. Currently with 1.3 years of exp. in Devops Engineering, I am feeling kind of stuck with not a lot of work and no growth in my current profile. And I have only 1 year of work experience in Devops, so I'm not getting enough job opportunities per se. I am well versed with Google Cloud Services with 2.6+ yrs of exp. as a PE and have a learning curve in AWS cloud. Kindly suggest some ways that I may take??

I started at a new firm this year in January. I had a billable goal that was given to me mid year of around 1750 house for the year. I am nowhere near that and definitely will not meet the goal. I had so many non billable hours I was forced to take when I first came in. I worked my ass off in busy season. At my previous firm I never fell short of hours as it was B4. This firm is mid sized and more focused on WLB. My question is how bad do you think this will affect my comp??

Has anyone purchased with a partner? I'm cash strapped after purchasing two 4plexes recently but found a good deal. I would manage renovations, tenant screening, and property management.

How should we structure the deal? What would you want for bringing $80k to a deal?

We would do an equitable split? Obviously they'd get 50%+ of rent but do they get more rent up front?

Hi all, I’m looking for someone at Microsoft to take a quick look at my resume and provide a referral if there’s a fit

My wife and I are having a baby at the end of the month. I recently found out that my company provides PTO for 6 weeks. I had checked the benefits earlier And the leave was unpaid. I had originally planned on taking 2 weeks off, but now my wife expects me to take the full 6. I want to take the full 6, but I feel a weird attachment to my job and I don’t want to put my career in jeopardy. On the other hand it’s my first child, and I want to be an involved father. Am I wrong for feeling this way?

Lately I’ve been feeling like all my friends and family around me have such great careers and are very successful and I’m behind. I would like some help trying to figure out what my next career move should be. I know I’m capable, I just don’t know what I should be looking for in my next opportunity, or what (strategically) I need to do to work my way up the ladder. Any resources or suggestions of who I could hire to help me figure things out?

My professional life at the moment is far from ideal. I’ve been on quarantine (long story, but a good one) for the last seven years. Royalties from my books don’t pay the bills. My entrepreneurial pursuits remain hampered. For the interim, I’ve been looking for a remote opportunity where I can leverage my skills in marketing, sales, social media, and elsewhere for a decent sum. I have a social media presence which, in recent years, reached millions. There has to be something exciting I can do.
