Question: Do the other big 4 firms still offer Open Access Plans (healthcare insurance)?

Yes, we do

Question OP...what was the open access plan - did it have no deductible?

I am currently on the open access plan which is going away. There are higher monthly premiums and a copay for services, but no annual deductible needed before insurance kicks in. To compare with what we are being forced into, I will have to come out of pocket $2600 before any insurance kicks in at all come July.

P2- 2600 and what are monthly premiums ?

I think about $500 /mo. for me and spouse

I have open access. Annual deductible is $300 for the family.

P2 isn't the monthly premium significantly lower than what you were paying on open access?

P3, no, not significantly. I think it's about $40 a month lower.

As far as accounting advisory (CMAAS, FAAS, Etc) anyone have opinions on big 4 vs a more niche firm like Houlihan lokey or A&M? Currently at big 4 and thinking of moving out of audit, but not sure what the best next move is. As I understand it the smaller firms are more middle market, but can pay better and have better WLB? Anybody have any ideas on exit opps/other pro's and cons to consider? Thanks for your help!

Should I be maxing our Roth IRA and then focus on 401k contributions?

Do consulting firms (Deloitte in particular) normally put do not compete clauses for SMs for companies who aren’t direct competitors? Interviewing with a fairly large / well known tech firm (key partner to Deloitte) and would be working with clients similar to those I have now. They asked if I’d have any type of non compete issue and I wasn’t sure.
