Question for biglaw corporate associates - would you expect a 2018 grad (new 3rd year) to be able to draft all NVCA financing documents without much help from a senior attorney? For M&A, what beyond diligence would you expect a new third year to be able to do? Looking to lateral - imposter syndrome strikes again making me feel like I may not know enough.

Definitely not, at my firm as a third year, I may take a first crack at drafting but the senior associate takes over the negotiation and drafting during the bulk of the deal.

Ahh thank you very similar to where I’m at - I’ve done some initial drafting and even negotiated once against an opposing partner but I was trippin during it and leaning heavily on the NVCA footnotes 🤣🤣

Bit of a unique situation. I think my offices FDD team is falling apart. Since covid, 1/1 partner resigned , 2/3 of SM quit, 2/2 managers quit. I’m a bit concerned with deal flow moving forward. What would you do in this situation? Should I try to jump to another firm? Maybe ask for a raise? Honestly I am getting pretty crispy mental health wise

Howdy fish, currently interviewing at KPMG for a associate role in major projects advisory. I’ve gone through the phone screening and the interview with 2 directors. Next interview is with 2 SM. What kind of questions can I expect in that interview?

What’s culture and WLB like in Google Strategy and Ops? I see most are former MBB, and I’m curious if they continue to carry the expectation of long hours and availability after-hours.
