Covid vaccine requirements in Texas Expedia, Inc. - I am interviewing for a position with Expedia in Austin - their job descriptions mention that they require 2 Covid vaccines + booster to be hired. Does anyone know if this is just language geared towards Seattle applicants? It’s my understanding that Texas employers can’t require the vaccine. Thank you! Expedia, Inc.

Can the new supervisor join the interview process? FWIW, this happened to me early in my career and it didn’t bother me. However, if this happened now at more senior ranks, I’d be pretty irked. So role seniority could be a factor to consider.
Definitely tell them.

Continued: I want to be transparent, but I’m not sure how many people would want to take a job when they don’t know who their manager is going to be or what their onboarding process will look like. At the same time, I’d be a little pissed if I decided to take the job and the hiring manager told me on my first day that she’s leaving.
I would mention the upcoming change to them so they can decide if it matters. Usually, a potential candidate is supposed to be up for whatever challenge comes up anyway. Everyone is on their best behavior during the hiring process and the “honeymoon” stage for a position. Even if you were to introduce the new manager taking over your role, I don’t think anyone could really have a good read on whether it will work out.
I am not a perfect candidate to answer but I say be transparent and tell the truth. Honesty & trustworthiness is ALWAYS appreciated:-)
I’d let them know early on and bring in the new supervisor to the interview process. Perhaps the two of you do a panel interview so they can meet you both and get insights from both of you. Who the manager is is a HUGE point of deciding whether or not I take a role. Make sure they have chemistry, too.
I interviewed once w someone on their second to last day w the company! It was a little weird but I later interviewed w the new supervisor before all the rounds were over. If you have the new person I’d include them
Definitely as early as possible. I've been told during the initial pre-application introduction, and it was the reason I ended up not applying. I also took a different role early on in my career because I really liked and wanted to work for the hiring manager, only to be told she was leaving when I was two weeks in... and her backfill was someone I would have refused to work for. Managers can make or break a role, don't let someone interview or receive an offer thinking they'll be working for you if you know they won't.
Can you tell me more about this role I know someone who is looking for a new role can you Dm me thank you
