Thank you all for your patience. I do appreciate it. It turns out having a side project while running multiple proposals is a trifle challenging. That said. I’m posting a first subset of the rawish data. In all close to 500 people took the survey, but a majority were from the Big Four. Here is the data from Deloitte, EY, KPMG, and PWC. Insights to come! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1lN6JrxQfvA_MC4XFZ38G0ppQkBuxRv9mf88Y8NE2X2U/htmlview

Well dressed men make me uncomfortable, especially if they are overly business like. Is it just me? Obviously not into sloppy dressers, but like a happy middle.
Well fitted suit, nice shoes, clean cut hair and facial hair if any
Navy blue with camel brown accessories. But only works on a defined jaw with some tasteful facial hair
“I’ll never forget the day I saw Sir Thomas when we audited the monastic estate. He was their accountant, but to me he was more than that. He was divine romance channeled into a human being. Never once during our 8 hour management meetings or 42 hour physical inventory count did he remove his glistening plate armor. With every move I could hear the chain mail he wore underneath rustle with the tones of true justice. His eyes held a knowledge that this world, and I, were far too frail to ever witness, but his broad shoulders carried it well. How I wish I could return to the estate and see my true love once more, but he has taken a vow of celibacy and will never know a woman’s touch” - taken from the Baker Tilly audit archives
Tennis shoes, 5.11 pants with both a belt and suspenders, skin tight polo shirt that proudly showed off his paunch, and monocle + polka dot eye patch
My old boss was to be very stylish. Always had well fitted suits with matching pocket square, clean shoes, nice cufflinks, and a bow tie... I wasn't a fan of the bow tie but it grew on me. Working for him made me up my work outfits.
MD1 that is exactly right. People remember you. But if you ever feel awkward or self conscious, don’t where one because others can sense that. Sometimes I specifically do NOT wear a bow tie for strategic reasons. But to the original point, the fit of the suit/jacket needs to be perfect. That does NOT mean tight. You should be comfortable enough to sleep in your suit. I love getting dressed up - less opportunity these days.

I used to have great style in DC. Strong suit game, nice tie knot and dimple. Cufflinks. Respected watch game. Always polished shoes. It felt good. Now in Austin it's casual athleisure all the time. Get me ouuuutttta here.
Regardless of thickness, a double windsor is clean and symmetrical. I sometimes use a single but rarely. What are you thinking they look like????

If anyone actually says pocket square I'm going to lose all hope in humanity.

Douchebag new money types wear pocket squares kid. Kind of ironic you call others a kid while typing U repeatedly.

I love the retro charm of a 3-piece suit, manicured nails, and nice shoes.

C1- i do it , without hat though
Why would you ask ladies about men’s style?
Most women understand men’s fashion (let’s be honest, it’s much simpler than Women’s), so asking for their input is valid.
I’m not so sure most men would have an idea of what to say if this question was reversed.

Ime - most guys would look waaayyyy better if they took 30% of the effort they put into fashion and put it into getting in shape. The best outfit in the world can’t compensate for a dumpy physique.
