Wanna hear what homegirl does for her 3AM wakeups with heavy chargebability Monday's? Go to the airport looking like a troll/paint face on before going to client after my nap at hotel. I win every week 😎 #worksmarter
OP, I'm not going to be condescending and tell you less is more and to take care of your skin. I'm assuming that you know both of those things... that being said, is it possible, to do your makeup once you land at client airport? That could buy you a few hours of wear time. I have dry/combo skin and I use a combo of foundation, blotting papers and powder to keep my foundation looking fresh through the day. My foundation is clinique superbalanced silk and I use a bit of Mac mineralize powder on top to set. Throughout the day I blot as needed and before dinner I do a light dusting of the Mac powder on my face. Hope this helps!
None of them do on its own. You have to use primer and then setting spray afterwards! I use Benefit...
Just go with tinted moisturizer and invest more in your skincare regimen - and I mean call in the pros- lasers, mini Botox, facials .. the less you need to cover the easier it is
I just do Laura Mercier - it lasts OK, but like I said... if you don't have that much you are covering you don't really notice when it wears off.
Second @PWC1 - Just stop wearing foundation and take care of your skin (cleansing, serum, moisturizer, sunscreen). No foundation will make you look better than a healthy complexion will.
Just Fraxel ... but I want to try something tightening for my chin/neck
I use a primer, lorac and Estée Lauder all day mixed together with primer mixed in and a shimmer Estée Lauder (all liquids-mixed together), then a few sweeps of bronzer, and urban decay de slick setting spray--my skin feels light, my face isn't clogged, and I can wear it from 7 to 7 and it is flawless. I am out of town right now but I can get all the names of everything on Sunday, but I mix it all in a little squeeze bottle as my own concoction and it's is amazing and lasts forever since you are mixing products
And my whole makeup routine takes 20 minutes--including eyeliner/mascara/etc..I also spray setting spray after foundation and then after the powder and I get so many compliments
D1 - thanks! I'm going to try Trish McEvoy next.
Estee double wear
Georgia Armani, btw, I always put on makeup after landing
I like NARS tinted moisturizer
I use smashbox primer, Makeup Forever brand liquid HD foundation and compact powder to set. Always lasts me from 4 am through team dinner that night with maybe a light refresh from the powder! Not that expensive and they have really great shades if you have very pale skin
Phew--- no wonder you guys always look beautiful! I'm a cheapskate-I even cut down on down on facial outside because I didn't want to spend that money anymore!! God bless you girls....
I'm debating ditching the makeup all together. Everyone tells me I look 5 years younger than I am anyway Lol..weekends i dont wear makeup.. would love to give it up 100% if i could convince myself it was a good idea 🙁
@PwC2 Ha, I most certainly don't have amazing skin. Was acne prone with huge scars. Oils vary depending on your skin type and needs. Google oil cleaning method and there are some good resources. I personally used castor oil as base and then would use grapeseed in summer and jojoba in winter to thin it out. Add an essential oil for relaxation or use tea tree like me or acne. It's effective at removing makeup but you can always use a makeup remover first. Rub it on, put a hot washcloth on face to steam and relax, then wash off. I'd follow up with a drop of grapeseed or jojoba as moisturizer but that's optional. Use cold pressed oils for best quality; they're surprisingly cheap ($3-6 for large bottle). After a few months, my skin improved to the point where I didn't get greasy anymore unless I wore makeup (which would slightly trigger my skin a bit. I'm too lazy now to keep up this routine but have learned that over washing actually makes skin produce more oil so I've stopped using anything targeted for oily skin since they're actually really harsh and go for sensitive cleansers. I also don't wash in morning and just rinse with hot water and use a gentle toner to clean the face (I'm a night-time showered). Hope this data dump helped!
If your concern is about your makeup getting cakey, I'm assuming your skin is on the drier side. If that's the case, this is what works for me (my skin is super dry and flakes if left alone). I apply coconut oil, glyercin, and/or rosewater the night before. Then in the morning I first apply clarins double serum let that sit for a minute or two and while it's still kind of smooth I apply maybelline BB cream pomegranate extract (drugstore but works really well for me) mainly on my cheeks and chin and around my eyes...I tend to avoid putting it smack in my forehead because that tends to get super cakey for me no matter what I apply. Then I apply bare Minerals all over - I could sleep in this and wake up with amazing skin. Then bronzer I either use the nars stick with a damp beauty blender or the hoola bronzer.
Little late to this but I wear Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. It is so lightweight with fantastic coverage.
Totally agree with Chanel- that stuff will seriously last forever if you don't wash it off. I wear the "tiente fluide" or something like that, but it's amazing.
