Great question! And without getting too much into monetary policy.... Fed rates are set by the Federal Reserve which banks use to charge each other to borrow money. A lot of times these rates move together, however, a Fed rate increase does not instantaneously change the rates the bank offers.

Other types of savings account have seen an increase this year such as online savings accounts and fixed annuities.

I have a NRI home loan through ICICI bank and I realized today (mar 6th) that my emi money was in a different account and the auto pay account didn’t have sufficed balance(auto pay is for mar 5) I immediately transferred money to the emi auto pay account and haven’t heard from the bank about any late payment etc but was wondering if there is usually a grace period or something before it’s considered a ‘missed EMI’? I keep hiring sales people who are super enthusiastic and overpromising on what they deliver. I put them through a trial month (no base + commission only) and they do not close a single deal, Even though the commission structure is amazing and I’m incentivizing them through the roof.
