For the last year or so I (24m) have felt the desire to move on from my current company for a few different reasons:

1. The industry/company doesn’t captive/inspire me
2. I do not see a desirable career ladder over the next 5-10 years
3. The work is moving further away from the things I enjoy (analysis, business/strategy, metrics/reporting)

I’ve started to prepare for a job search, but I don’t know what I want to do so I’m almost scared to start. Any advice?

Really struggling right now. My wife doesn’t believe in sleep training or any type of schedule for our firstborn son. He’s over a year now and refuses to nap when we try to put him down. My wife doesn’t care that he takes over an hour every night to fall asleep or sometimes just won’t nap unless we take him for a drive, but being home every day it’s really wearing me down. I support her and love her but our second is on the way and I’m really worried

In the 6 years of our married life me and my husband have always had differences.
One thing we stuck to was not to care about expenses like we saved together, spent together...my salary was his and vice versa...
I have differences with his side of the family...but recently I got to know that he has been buying crypto for his brother without my knowledge.

Just had a surgery to remove a lesion that had 40% chance of becoming cancer. I had a group text to keep family & friends informed. Nobody from family actually called to check on me. Five friends called to see how I was doing and feeling. Parents are deceased, I’m the youngest sibling (+5 to 8 years older) and the only one anybody keeps in contact with. Time to cut family? They obviously don’t care what’s going on in my life. One sibling never even responded.

Likelihood of joining PE after working at portfolio company in FP&A role

How useful is having worked with the PE practice (deal strategy, CDDs, etc.) of a consulting firm vs any other one when trying to break into PE? I understand it's probably better to come from such units but I wanted to understand in which ways it helps. Is it actually irreplaceable skills vs understanding of sector dynamics vs pure prestige?
