I worked for a bank, in a brokerage subsidiary and at HQ not a branch. I love the culture here 10 times more.

For me, it would depend heavily on the bank and my role. There are some banks doing some really cool stuff. I wouldn't take it for just some mid-manager level role at some stuffy institution.

A recruiter at a bank reached out to me today and I know the money would be better but I truly question if the life would be having come from there myself. Also the fact that almost every project sold to them is cost reduction doesn't exactly give you the warm fuzzies for career growth

Currently an SFA 4YOE was in audit for 2 years. Should i move to a Senior Internal Audit postion which would give me a 40% bump or just stay another year and apply for manager postions next year. Which would probably give me a 40% raise as well - but thatd be next year.
Current job is easy and great work life balance. Dont mind being in internal audit but not sure of career trajectory or work life balance
