Question on RSUs from tech companies: When the comp includes $100k RSUs vesting over 4 yrs, is it a norm that you are awarded $100k worth RSUs at the end of every yr you stay? I.e. you get full $100k (minimum) from yr 4 and beyond? Got an offer from a large tech firm with an equity comp of $100k RSU (4-yr vesting) in year 1 but only 30-50% ($30-50k) are awarded each yr (vesting over 4 yrs) from yr 2 onwards. Can you negotiate higher pay (either at a new job or for a raise) based on your academic pedigree? If so, how can you do this without sounding elitist? Meaning, if an employer possibly picked you as an Ivy League/Top 20 Public flagship university degree holder, how do you acknowledge this in salary negotiations? Especially asking because these people often have more loans compared to someone with an online degree for example.

Hi everyone, I am going to post an honest issue I've been having and I am hoping to get some advice. I left Amazon in July '21. I'd been there for 5 years, was being paid below market rate for my salary. I have completed so many assessments, data analytics tests, and been interviewed no less than 120x for 30-40 different companies. DoorDash, Bird, Coca-Cola, Uber, Flexe, GoPuff and plenty of others moved me forward for final interviews, but I have not gotten selected. What am I doing wrong?
